What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My wife is the one who quotes Carl best, about the taters and the blade. Was it "sleep over bandits" where Thorton was the hypochondriac ? Bill

    BH77 Backhoe Dolly

I like your stops to position it and your whole design. I have a dolly But I am using some wood blocking as I didn't get back to making the steel locating and rests yet. I had a large piece of channel iron I made mine out of which was my motorcycle turn table. I could drive my Kawasaki Vulcan...

    Hydraulic hose Fittings

My son and I have the disease and we call it FSS, Flat surface syndrome. It must be a genetic defect thing, My brothers don't have it, I was the only one with red hair so it may be related to that. Bill

    Help with hydraulic top link

I put together my own top an tilt but found it would settle or droop some in use or when shut off. I installed a ball valve in the base end line on both and open it to use or to set and when closed it doesn't change even when I park the tractor. I know they make the cylinder check valves but...

    Regulator

Off topic but I made my own phase detector for 3 phase just to see if I could copy the circuit in one. I assembled it in a plastic 22 ammo box and used it for years. Still have it but retired and no longer work with 480/277 etc. Like you Jay it is solving the mystery sometimes. Bill

    4X4 Indicator

I find the pictures they use to show actions are not always intuitive to me. I always have to think with this 69yr old brain, what does that mean, where as 2wd and 4wd are instantly obvious to me. I struggle with similar things with computer and cell phones and auto dash. The old levers in 4wd...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I like that little tractor. Reminds me of a bolens my uncle had 55 yrs ago that I used to mow with for him while he worked on Saturday morning. Was built like a tank with a cast front axle too and you drove over the deck to put it on. Great memory, thanks for posting this! Wouldn't mind adding...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I like the dart thrower comment. My brother calls them the weather buffoons. Sure could use a little rain here in upstate NY, our lawn is burned up already. I have some work to do with the kubota but putting it off because it is so dry and dusty. If I cross the grass where I need to it is going...

    Bxpanded Ripper question

I bought the QA last year as I made my own 7" bucket for drains and the electrical for my generac install. It took a few weeks to come in so I did the hard pin method. I put QA on after that and just put the backhoe on and dug a stump yesterday. Seems all this talk has me thinking I could use a...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Your start of this story hit the nail on the head, when my wife's TV choice is like the "Voice", I wind up here at OTT or youtube watching Buckin Billy Ray or Eric at SMA. But the busting your butt to fix your Dad's problem was a good read for sure, Thanks for sharing it. In 2008 I had hernia...

    Love to smack a plumber

It is the bread trick, You take the center out of some white bread and make a tight little ball you push back up the pipe to hold the water that is dripping by. Solder a union there and then you only have to do it on one side, If it is on the pressure side use water to blow it out before...

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

I looked at mine today and it is sitting up with both the grapple and the loader arms touching the floor. I didn't try to take it off as it meant starting and moving 2 tractors and I was leaving just then. It is on a LA525 on a L2501. Bill

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

Mine is closed and standing up I think I have enough room to not hit the loader arms because it hasn't been a problem but now you have me wondering. It is on the tractor now I will have to try taking it off in the garage on the concrete.

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

When I take the grapple off it stands up on its own. Usually on a pallet and I have moved it that way with the forks so it is pretty steady standing up. It weighs somewhere over 200lbs and is easy for this 69 yo to move slightly by when putting on and need just a little lining up. Bill

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

Virnig is another brand. They have some of them in stock at Messicks. I bought mine there about a year ago. I don't use it real hard as some do but it is a well made unit. Bill https://www.virnigmfg.com/products/grapples/
