    Starter on B7500

I was agreeing with your original statement that changing polarity doesn't reverse rotation, and my experience with my 8n confirms it at least for an 8N. Bill

    Starter on B7500

Just to confirm that reversing polarity with Dan. In changing an 8N to 12 volt you change from positive to negative ground. You can get 12 volt starter but the old 6 volt will work fine. Bill

    What valve do I need?

I have used some of those 3 way style on my machine. I find they feed in the side and then to either end as the ball is drilled at a right angle not straight thru. Maybe a difference in brand but I don't see that diagram as right with the ones I have used. Bill

Transfer Switch for Generator Power in Outages

I have a lot of those days myself, glad to be able to help along with P0234. His post made me see the misunderstanding. If I haven't explained before here is Chanceywd's explanation. As a dog lover you will appreciate it. In the late 90's I had a GSP I named Chance who I rescued. Chance because...

Transfer Switch for Generator Power in Outages

That I believe is how they work when ever you use one. I have one in my main panel I put in before the auto transfer and back up generator. I think you would have to run a separate feed from the garage back to the main panel to the dedicated breaker. That is always off until the main is turned...

    Processing wood

I had a piece of a snow plow guide attached to a 3/8 bolt that screws into half of a coupling nut welded to the forward bar nut. I misplaced/lost it in the woods and made a new one with 3/8 fuel hose and that works good. I like my gauge on the right side. I had drilled and tapped a couple bars...

Bolts To Studs On A BX Front Axle

I worked 26 yrs in maintenance at monofilament extrusion. Every threaded bolt, thermocouple well, pressure transducer always was neverseized. the process temperatures near 600F for polyester could be for a few hours or days or weeks depending on the run time. Never a problem with proper torque...

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

I had that thought this morning and wondered if you could stack some nuts or washers in there and pry. Nice to hear it has been tried and worked. Sometimes it is the simple things. Bill

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

I think they are steel as the inner and outer shafts are welded to them. Bill

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

I think the frustrating part is having enough hands. My son and I did his front axle ones on his 2014 jeep. One can disassemble but 2 people putting together, problem if you aren't careful is tipping over one of the rollers when putting cap on and then pressing, breaks the cap. He did that and...

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

Best for getting the joint apart for sure, as said no pounding. HF carries one I beleieve Great Idea! I have had one for 30 years and used it mostly for u-joints. Didn't think to mention it .Some places like advance auto will lend you one if you pay the price for deposit.

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

That is the idea I was saying with a bar going thru the assembled joint. It would have to go in the second side or remove the grease fitting and all thread used back to the tractor. A bearing splitter behind the backside might work if you don't clamp it tight to the spline, again with a pusher...

    PTO shaft stuck on tractor

It appears to have been hit with a chisel a few times on the top side in the second photo, not a good tool to use. Have you ran it at all since you have had it? If not maybe that would loosen it a little if it has been sitting and not used for a long time. I wonder if you could make a puller...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Never an easy task. We had to say good by to Tanner our 15 yo lab mix in september. Made him a nice spot overlooking his little swimming hole I dug with the kubota 2 years ago. He love to swim and chase sticks we threw even as his eyes were failing. If it was sunny he could see the sticks and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Reminds me of a coworker, my group leader. I could do a 3 ph load calculation in my head and know the wire size, breaker etc. He checked my work with a calculator for a few years and then in later years ask me for my input first. Another time, different friend questioned my calculation for a...

    Broken Feed Back Rod

Thanks for clearing that up, Whitetiger. Bill

    Broken Feed Back Rod

Looking at the second picture it just doesn't seem to be enough room between the levers if it is installed from the outside. But, it could be in the pictures and the space is actually more. Sure is one I'd like to see in person. Is there any rub marks where the existing rod was hitting one of...

    Broken Feed Back Rod

Your pictures make it a lot clearer and I would agree it is in the right way looking at the clearance on the other lever. I think like Trimley and by having a new rod in hand along with the other missing parts I would make a splice piece out of something like a coupling nut bored thru of a piece...
