My L2501 with the BH77 was delivered new with the one of the backhoe pins in the wrong hole. Something that sticks in my mind.

I like your install but noticed the retainer pin for the loader mount. Isn't it supposed to be in the small hole so it hangs down? In that position it is in it can move and the large mounting pin can work out.

I finally got my retirement kubota in february this year to supplemant my 8N, I am on a learning curve on the history of them. I didn't know they used that style in the past and i was looking at them as a replacemnt today.

You are welcome, I just see that it had potential to not turn at the inner point and cause accelerated wear at the outer points which could be hard to repair. Thank you for bringing the lost bolt problem to mine. I checked and mine are still there but some of the others the nuts have backed...

Just a thought about your design. Is the kubota style supposed to limit turning forces on the greased inner area where a change like yours could have the pins turning at the outer points too?

I checked mccmaster carr and they carry a lot of 22 x 2.5 bolts so there is stuff out there. Maybe you could buy a cheap thread pitch gage to confirm

Is it possible the thread on your pins is actually a metric pitch? That could explain why the neither of the others match the nut. I ran into a similar problem with a chinese made electrical hole punch set that wouldn't fit the common us style hole punches. 7/8" would be just over 22mm, 2.5...

I have found to take it out of 4wd before backing it into the garage, it is easiest done going forward, stop put in reverse and push down the handle as I let the clutch out. Always goes down easy then.

You might also weld a 1-1/2 solid shaft collar on both ends of another piece like schedule 40 if you can't find the 80. TSC carries shaft collars. I just used shaft collars for the pins to make a narrow trenching bucket for my BH77.
