Fixing hole in side of block

I worked with one like that named Bob. He couldn't get a fine threaded gearbox drain plug to start so he hit it with a hammer and cross threaded. I got the job of repairing his work that time, like many others.

Do they really charge that much?

My younger brother 68yo has one of those MB Smart cars. He was telling me recently something like $400 to change the 3 sparkplugs in that at the dealer. Of course he did them himself. He lives in Buffalo about 3 hrs away but for anything bigger he comes to my place in central NY as I have a...

    Woodland Mills WC68

Got it all together and the 8n was doing OK moving the weight so I took it out for a try with that. It worked well with the 2-1/2 to 3 inch or smaller I ran thru it. Didn't have a lot of time as I had an appointment to get to today. I had a short shaft from another project with the same size...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have a piece of 3/4 pvc gray conduit that i have marked for bucking. It is flexible to lay on there and I just use a hatchet to put a nick in the bark at my marks. Bill

    Woodland Mills WC68

I see others have paired the WC68 with the L2501. So I ordered that one instead of the smaller one thinking it was only $200 more and I am only going to be doing mostly 3" or smaller stuff but it would handle bigger if needed or I change tractors. Probably not going to happen as I like the L2501...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Isn't it like 20' to the second drop? I recall something like that when I was pumping new wells at work we had for cooling. Did 4 of them and I used to lower 1-1/2 black plastic with a 2hp pump 200 ft. I rigged up a frame to go over the well with a pulley and a roller and would pull it with my...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nice job and being a fellow steel hoarder I am always saving any hole saw plugs for use too. I am getting ready to change my well pump.Yesterday I was measuring and making the pipe to pull the pitless . I haven't done one in a while and was thinking it was 3/4 bur it turns out it is 1". In my...

Gotta take advantage of the "rain delay"

I wondered that, I thought maybe they were on there when he buried it that time and they got horsed then. Bill

I forgot to release hydraulic pressure when disconnecting my BX23S backhoe. What do I do now?

When I hear about others with arthritic hands I can sympathize for sure. My 70 yo ones in the last three years have had several operations for trigger finger etc, and in march had a knuckle replacement on the right index. Today I hooked up my grapple hoses with a lot less pain! Bill

My B2620 doesnt have 3 point hitch.. Compatibility? I need to build..

If you just bought it new, It might be like what happened to me. When they delivered with the backhoe mounted I didn't think about it. When I did several days or weeks later, I called the dealer and it was all there in a bucketand had been forgotten when it was delivered. Bill

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks BonnySlope! It looks with the steps like it is for a skidsteer. I tried making something to pull saplings years ago for my 3pt on a the 8N but that didn't work out. That on the 3 pt would have! Bill

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My old ford blade has that feature and I have used it a couple times on the ditch along the gravel driveway. But not in a long time, I found just running the tires in that ditch a couple times a year opens up and keeps it flowing

PTO driven 3-point circular saw attachment.

That style you mention must be what my grandfather had. I remember it being separate from the tractor. Is there a name for the brand that you used? The one I bought was dearborn style, 3pt mounted and I probably could have kept it belt driven but this was prior to my kubota and I didn't want...

PTO driven 3-point circular saw attachment.

I find the fact I can stand up to do it easier on the back. I made a spring loaded guide for my 16" cut off and drilled a hole in the table at 16" for trimming a slightly long piece to length.

PTO driven 3-point circular saw attachment.

I have an old belt driven one. I removed the belt drive and using a gear box I made it PTO. Like Oldhokie says you can pick them up pretty cheap. I might have paid $150- 200 when I bought it maybe 6 years ago. I use it every year with my 8N to cut up some of the limbs after chain saw work is...

    BH77 Upgrade

Thanks for the info and reply. I guess some measuring is the answer for me too. I was thinking about a curtis cab also. My set up on the L2501 already is with the second seat. Bill

Could you list the part number for those extension plates? Just curious about the putting a pto pump system on mine. I find it a little slow and a little lacking on power at times. Thanks in advance, Bill

Only one thing better, My wife taking over most of the mowing if we bought a zero turn. So we did and I haven't spent any time on it and have zero skills moving it around to service but she loves it! I still use an old rider for the rough areas and trails in the woods. Bill
