    Trailer hitch on back hoe

I like the way you think outside the box, Jay! This was my answer to adding a hook to my buckets but by making a sandwich with 2, 3/8 plates for the bucket linkage I can lift even taking the bucket off and gives me more clearance. Works good for lifting like my 20kw Generac into place when I...

L3710 gst no power steering once shifted into gear

That takes me back 60 years when I was 11. My dad didn't work on vehicles but my next door neighbor did. Anytime I see he had a hood up I was his second set of hands. He taught me so much that has been with me all the years working on my stuff and others. Love it when my son and I work on a...

I use that wrap method sometimes if I have a tree that gets hung up. Sometimes it only takes a part of a turn to get it away from the point holding it in the top and then it will slide down the side of the holding tree. Obviously it needs to be free of the stump to work. Bill

Wood stoves......My favorite part of having a "cottage"......

I've lived here for 29 yrs all of it with wood heat. I found a nice used Lopi Liberty about 20 yrs ago. It needed some welding in the draft baffle so I did that and replaced all the firebrick . The only problem was when I was still working I would load it up and start down the road and wonder if...

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

A couple rescues here in upstate ny Layla we drove to near Philly last saturday to meet the transport, She was supposed to be mostly Australian cattle dog but at about 19 lbs I think she is mostly a Rough Coat Jack Russell. She sure can jump like one! She is settling in with Rudy quite well. He...

Your inspector is looking away and not really checking your work. Is that some kind of a heeler/ cattle dog breed. Just got a new rescue last saturday after Libby passed in september. Layla, the one we got is supposed to be Australian CD but too small, think she is mostly rough coat jack...

Fixing hole in side of block

Off topic for this thread but, I first made this hook mount for the linkage because I wanted to be able to lift with or without a bucket on. It is 2 pcs of 3/8 plate 2-7/8 wide with the hook welded on one then sandwiched w 4 bolts to the linkage pc. The 2 hooks welded to the thumb bracket and...

Fixing hole in side of block

Almost 50 yrs ago in the 70's I used to read "Hot Rod" magazine. This thread keeps their saying in my head, "Run she may, But shine she must! I think about it often when I do a repair as I seldom get around to doing a real paint job. My L2501 I bought new got some random orange paint applied...

Nice to see the father and son working together on this! Always enjoy a day working on a project inside or out with my son! My brother was here last week and we were putting A arms on his car because I have a lift. I kept calling him Bob instead of Dean because it was going well like when my son...

    My rear remote installation

You made a nice looking setup there. One thing I see that may or may not give you a problem in the future. That is by eliminating the hoses and mounting your couplers to the valve body that way, all the weight of the hoses along with use of the cylinder and vibration is working to loosen the SAE...

Fixing hole in side of block

Do you mean on the block? It looked to me on the block like the cleaning methods have rounded the normal sharp edges of the holes , The picture with the pliers looks like that cover isn't even touching at the top and you can see 2 heavy chisel ? marks which have probably made a bump on the...

Fixing hole in side of block

When using that silicone material for a gasket you should apply it all around each bolt hole. If you look at a pre-made gasket you will see what I mean. Otherwise there is a possible path for oil to get to the bolt hole and then out around the bolt.

B2150- oil shaft seal ( discontinued ) anyone find an alternative?

Some of the metric sized seals will have a series of 3 numbers on them. The first number is the shaft size, the second number is the bore size it fits in and the third number is the width or thickness. Clean it off carefully with some brake clean maybe, and the will be right on the face. I...

Fixing hole in side of block

Back in the 70's I rebuilt a 196.6 6 cylinder engine in a 64 rambler. I did rings, honed it, rod and main bearings, valve job the whole thing. It wouldn't start when I first tried and wound up cranking the battery down. I took a break while it charged and foolishly had a couple beers with my...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Good Morning Old_Paint, The clogs for me are when as you say a short piece gets rolling around sideways and stops further feeding. The feed roller issue is it stops spinning and I have to reverse the push bar to get it backed out and try again. It also lacks enough grip at times to overcome a...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I bought a WC-68 a couple months ago. So far I have been running it on the old 8N as I have the BH77 on the l2501. I just wondered how well your feed roller works. I have done some of the adjustments and I also changed the pump suction hose end for end. That helped some as originally it had a...
