    L2501 rear tires filled

I had my rear R-4's filled on the new Kubota L2501 today. The product used is Bio-Ballast. 30 gallons per tire and should give a weight increase of close to 600 lbs total. It will give me more confidence as my 56 acres is rolling hills. I still plan on keeping either a box blade or brush...

    BX2380 and Snow Blower Problem

Is it possible that what the OP is hearing when the blower is raised to its maximum is the squealing of the relief valve that controls the lift cylinder? Of course it would be easy to rule out that possibility by raising the blower to its maximum without the pto being engaged.

Landpride grapple hose kit fittings ?

I picked up a Landpride SGC0660 today for my L2501. It was crated with the hose kit in a bag. I just wanted to double check with the hydraulic gurus that with these style of fittings no hydraulic pipe dope sealant is required. The female quick disconnect appears that a rubber o ring is used...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Monarch on goldenrod, but what I was amazed at was just how many other pollinators were also on the goldenrod. Eastern Blue birds taking up residency in one of the nesting boxes I put out last spring. Black capped chickadee photobombing! lol

    L2501, wrong one delivered?

I ordered and took delivery of a L2501 in November 2019. Do you guys think I could go back and tell my dealer they delivered the wrong L2501? lol. I find it strange that even for a different market Kubota would use the same model number for a completely different tractor...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

Update on my seat lift. I was able to get out to the shop and work on my seat lift and today was able to mount and dismount the tractor without issues. I now have the seat size worked out and will build a seat with a 1/8 inch metal pan with small back rest and side hand holds. I am also...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

All is well, thanks for asking! I got busy with Deer season, then the holidays so have not been in the shop for a bit. I do know I need to do some tweaking on the channel that the dolly rides in to take some of the "slop" out. I will post follow up pictures etc when completed.

Help with lever and fulcrum math

Getting closer with my seat lift. I did however hit a snag. I had purchased a new winch from the local farm supply store and had not bench tested it. After wiring etc I plugged in the hand held control and nothing!. Did not feel right about taking it back for a refund or exchange as I...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

Thanks guys! I was 22, 63 now, when I had what I thought was a devastating spinal cord injury. I was working under a vehicle unsupported without jack stands. I came to the conclusion very quickly that life still had a lot to offer. It has been quite a ride so far! :). I purchased 56 acres 2...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

Thank you! Rectangular will probably work best. This mock up is larger than the final size and I know for sure I can add more radius to the corners for extra clearance. My 200 lb son stopped over and I had him sit on the extended seat arm and all was good as far as strength. The pivots also...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

I had considered turning the winch 90 degrees but thought the way I have it mounted now will give me the least obstructed view. I had also considered mounting the winch down low and using a top pulley. Hopefully as the travel of the trolley only needs to be about 19 inches the cable does not...

Help with lever and fulcrum math

These pictures will give a better idea of where I am headed with the seat lift. The base of the c channel is bolted to the loader sub frame with 3/8 5 inch u-bolts, no welding on the tractor or loader. The lateral support for the c channel is picked up from the loader frame pin that goes thru...

    Dethatcher

Very nicely done! It will work like a charm. I have a CMP de-thatcher that I pull with my B7100 , de-thatching lawns but also working up piles of pine needles. Yours is very well built.

Help with lever and fulcrum math

Thanks for everyones help! I have a pretty good idea of the math involved and the forces I will be generating. I will post pictures of completed lift assuming I do not have to completely re-engineer!
