Whitetail deer checking out trail cam at the pond project

After purchasing my L2501 I decided to dig a wildlife watering hole. The project has already become a wildlife magnet. I enjoyed seeing this 2 1/2? year old checking out the camera and watering hole while on the hunt for true love. :) Note: the time stamp as far as the date is correct but the...

Best options for managing 40 acres of heavy woods?

I had very dense Scot pines in the 3 to 6 inch range on my 56 acres when purchased. I converted 28 of them to open oak/savanna prairie. The initial removal of the Scots was handled by a contractor that has a tracked skid steer and Fecon forestry mulching head. What is nice about forestry...

    L 2501 or L3560LE cab or L3560 no cab

like many , I purchased a L2501 to avoid the complexity and cost associated with DPF and the necessary components that go along with it. My tractor sits down at my land a fair distance from the dealer and as of yet I do not have a tow rig big enough. The tractor also did not break the bank...

Anybody laying any steel this year

After purchasing my 56 acres four years back I discovered rather quickly I have a population of fishers. A extremely interesting fur bearer that was almost hunted and trapped into extinction. Trapping permits are available now in central Wisconsin for fishers. Perhaps one day but for now I hope...

Where do you buy your parts from?

No parts needed for my L2501 yet but I purchased B7100 parts from Messicks. The parts department was very helpful when I plumbed hydraulics for a front mount snowblower.

    Adventures in "Tractoring"......5-6hrs in......

Nice tractor and post! The first winter that I had my B7100 and back blade I was cleaning up snow around the walk out basement doors and "hooked" my never freeze hose bib with the corner of the blade. Like it never existed ,lol, popped that puppy off in a wink.

What Tractors Share L2501 running gear?

From looking at the spec sheets and tractors on the lot when I was in the purchasing phase of buying a L2501 I think the L2501 , L3301 and the L3901 come closest to being the same frame , front and rear axles etc. There is a very slight difference in 3 pt lift capacity, hydraulic pressure etc...

loader lift rams safety block fabrication ideas?

I plan on fabricating the safety blocks for the loader lift rams and would appreciate ideas, thoughts or pictures from others that have made these. I am not sure of the proper nomenclature so apologize in advance if I have it wrong. Is just one adequate or is a pair , both sides, the only way...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Transported the L2501 back to my house from my land. Its ready for the 50 hour maintenance , a good cleaning from being down at the land and some much needed tweaks on my seat lift. This might be a good time for a quick 50 hour review. I will start with a few negatives that I knew going in...

    Laser cut L2501 floor mats

I believe that is a adjustable "stop" bolt for the pedal. You can also see the stop bolt for the rear travel of the pedal.

And can be a challenge to remove on a B7100 HST, especially that one #$%@ nut and washer.

    B7100 owners

Mine springs back to more or less a Idle position. When I start from a cold tractor I bump up the throttle slightly from the Idle position. Mine is a late model (1997) HST

Adding a fuel gauge to B7100?

The fuel tank on my late model (1997) B7100 has yellowed to the point it’s almost impossible to see the fuel level. The sunlight has to be just right. I have put enough time on the hour meter to get a good feel for how much remains but I am overly cautious not to run low. I think I remember...

    Excavation Cost shocker

13k not being a option at the time I waited till I had the L2501 and dug a small wildlife pond in my 100 yard rifle range area. I used some of the excavated soil to build up my backstop berm. Even though I have not trucked in clay yet for a liner I have enough standing water for a while that I...

    Excavation Cost shocker

Last summer I had a local excavating company that also does some pond work give me a estimate for a much smaller pond on my land. Roughly 75 foot long and 35 foot wide. My soil is loamy sand. The estimate was 13k with either trucked in clay liner or synthetic liner, my choice. The excavated...
