If you have a fully charged battery and run the tractor for 2 or 3 minutes, shut it off and it won't start, the problem is not the battery being drained. You have a connection problem. Take all the batt cables loose and clean them, both ends, at the batt and the other ends.

Yea, sand comeing thru the air filter down into the eng doesn't make sense. That eng would be eat up in no time. Sand or grit getting in to the crankcase thru a vent is a possibility.

I'm not famaliar with the block heaters but I have an L235dt and it's not too difficult to start in cold weather. Sometimes takes 2 glow plug cycles. Ck all your glow plugs and make sur there're working.

If that is a 4wd and like my L235, you won't ba able to get the oil pan off easy. There's one bolt on the front of the pan with no clearance to get it out unless you take loose the front drive assy. Not a 10 minute job.!!!

one more thing that hasen't been mentioned. The pilot bearing in the crankshaft that centeres the input shaft of the trans. If it is dragging on the input shaft, sticky old grease, bad bearing, that will cause the grinding also.

Dusty , that pushrod came out of position because it was loose. Causes are, loose adjuster, tips worn on rod or rocker arm and the worse, cam lobe. If you can, pull the lifter out and look at the bottom of it for wear. You may need a cam. Another way to ck would be to use a dial indicator on...

I'm not familiar with that tractor but, many tractors have a cable that comes from the back of the tach to the eng somewhere. It is usually broken into inside where it bends to go to the eng.

On my L235, the fel comes off as one unit. It has support arms that you let down, take all the bolts off and just back the tractor away from it.

Lowering the 3 point is controlled by a valve like a water faucet. The more it's open, the fasster it falls. I'm not sure if that valve controls the rate of lift also. Mine is right under the front of my seat.

cst, I have an L235 with a Bush Hog brand FEL on it. It is mountad to the tractor very solidily. If it was orange, you'd think it was made by Kubota for the tractor.
