    I figured it out...the throttle cable was getting hung up on lever(dash) side. Thanks for the info! (not sure how to close this thread...but please consider this issue resolved.)

    Thanks Lugbolt! Any idea why the Governor doesn't let the idle linkage rest on the Idle Adjustment screw? (Governor is causing the engine to rev around 2K RPM with no load.)

    Thanks for the information! I would still like to get answers to my original questions.... 1. Any idea what the 2 adjustment screws are on top of the carb? 2. Any idea how to properly reduce the ideal speed?

    G2000 (Gas) Idle Speed too fast

    Help! The idle speed on my G2000S is way too high...I would say 1100-1200rpm. There are two adjustment screws on the top of the carb, but they seem to do nothing. Additionally, there is an adjustment on the Governor, but I do not have a service manual to know exactly what to adjust.:confused...
