After trying to remove filter with a 24" pipe wrench and not having any luck contacted local dealer who suggested using an air chisel to break it loose. After a few raps with chisel spanner ring turned enough to get off by hand. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions

I am trying to remove filter but having no luck. Filter has what looks like a spanner ring at base. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do.
