    Any Gravel Spreading Tips?

Too bad they couldn’t spread it with the trucks. Down here, the gravel guys are proud artists at laying down a nice even ribbon of rock, just as smooth and well packed as it could get. Laying down rock any other way is just never is as good. when I have to, I load the bucket and travel backwards...

engine stops when attempting to engage blades

We see this complaint so often no matter what model of machine. its obvious most of the time it’s the safety circuit. It’s open somewhere in the harness or switch.

Deck PTO stalls B2100 when let out clutch

It’s gotta be in the safety circuit. You say the switch is bypassed, but did you wring out that circuit to see if it open somewhere?

87 10%. eth. $2.54, diesel $2.59 here in e. TN. Last year this time reg gas was $.99, diesel was $1.69. Californians need to revolt, NOW. That’s just nuts.

    B2601 quit

No doubt the PTO or HST switch is causing this.

    Wax/No wax

I waxed a new tractor once, a JD 750 I had years ago. It was a good unit. I don’t bother now, but I do hose them down periodically and spray cleaner on and brush off the really dirty areas. It’s important to keep equipment clean IMO. my motorsickles get all the waxing these days.

Found some weird stripped bolts sitting on my new LX-2610

They “rethreaded” the holes. WTH does that mean. They gave you lip service, man. how much longer are the correct bolts than the wrong ones? That’s probably how much thread is actually securing those fasteners now. But hey, at least they washed it for you:giggle:

    NEW LA 435 loader Question

I doubt that hole is for a pin. There’s no clip for the sliding safety pin to keep it in there. I’m friendly with a service mechanic at my local dealer, and he told me to be happy I have the older 434 loader.

    B2601 review and thoughts

I put a block on my forward pedal and it changes the angle of my knee, which hurts after three and a half hours of mowing, but less with the block. I use the tilt every time I get on and off and I ain’t even fat. Just makes it so much easier.

Brush Hog PTO engagement shaking B2601

I get the same thing. It’s cuz of the folded blades. Make sure your blades can pivot freely so they can straighten quickly. I engage my PTO at around 1500. You can ease it on a certain amount, but not like a standard two stage clutch in a gear tractor. I have just quickly engaged it and then...

    Deionized water

in the mechanical contracting world, we used to have to pipe DI water either in plastic or stainless piping due to it’s corrosive nature.

B2601 - So far So good

Happy to hear yer liking it. I’ve had mine nearly three years and 373 hours and no problems at all. I use it for mowing cuz I can’t use a 0 turn on my place in some sections, but it cuts pretty nice. Works a 6 foot box blade and a rake no problem. the loader is good for light duty work, but...

    Chain around the mower blade

If you’re saying that the whole machine shakes now with no PTO engaged, you might a bent the crank in the motor. Had that happen on a walk behind when I ran it over a busted off concrete post some years back.

    Linkage Arm for MMM

So yer saying that when that arm swings down the pin won’t line up with the hole? Looks close. Did you try muscling the deck back on that side to get it aligned? something might have tweaked with the other arm and it’s misaligned now. I‘d just pull it back until it popped in. Those arms have a...

    New B2601 cutting deck

I find the wide rear tires lays the grass over before the deck can cut it. kind of like the fronts do going forward only worse. i‘d like a front mount ground following deck on mine. I can’t use a zero turn, but I like front mounted decks way better.

    B2601/B Series oil weight?

5w 40 is ok. 15w 40 is what I use, Rotella T6 year round. It doesn’t get cold enough here for 5w40. I wouldn’t go any lighter IIWY in the summer.

    New B2601 reverse speed

They definitely go slower in reverse, but more than a crawl. Does the pedal go all the way to the floor in reverse? If I wear work boots, I have a hard time fitting my whole shoe in the little space Kubota made there. OTOH it might need an adjustment.

    New B2601 reverse speed

If the middle speed is too slow, ramp up yer RPM. You should be mowing at about 2500. High gear is gonna really make the HS groan at 2000.
