    PTO Extender

First, 4" is not ideal, but it would pass the mustard test on my chipper. If you add 4 more inches, make darn sure that is doesn't bottom out on the PTO stub on the tractor side. That's the biggest concern.

    L2800

I assume you have a manual/gear transmission since the HST has an independent PTO... Short answer, sorry, no. BUT you can use an over-run PTO coupler... which might help you some. It doesn't allow a mower to transmit power back through the transmission...

    L3901 Loader Failure

Been watching this train wreck... Since you are "learning"... Your L3901 is an "Open Center with Power Beyond" Hydraulic System. Your FEL has 7 hoses connected to it, the 7th one is power beyond. Plain "Open Center" without power beyond, will have 6 hoses. Back to eating my popcorn...

    L3400 Installing rear auxiliary hydraulics

I used this Price MB with my 2005, L2800. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Hydraulics/Hydraulic-Valves/Directional-Control-Valves/3-Spool-8-GPM-Prince-MB31BBB5C1-DA-Valve-9-7863.axd For me, I mounted the spool/valve first then bought the hoses the right length (that was not cheap!!). How long...

    Working hours vs age

Engine oils have standards, that the oil has to meet. Hydraulic oil (as far as I know) does not have those standards. I had bought Hydraulic oil once that specifically said not for transmission use!!! If it says "Tractor Hydraulic Fluid" it 's better to use than just plain Hydraulic Fluid.

Removing/cleaning Radiator Net Screen on L4310 HST CAB, blocked by loader support brace

So, I have to remove the air filter to remove my screen (straight up). First improvement when they came out with the next model was a side exit for the screen (but without the extra support arm of the FEL) . Not that much of a pain to remove the air filter but enough that now I just leave the...

    Kubota L3200 horsepower deficiency?

So the L3200 is the upgraded model from my L2800 (actually, there was the L2800 "extra power" in 2008 - it added 1 HP) L3200 has 2 more HP than that. I run a 60 inch tiller with no problem (width of tractor is 63" but no one was selling a used 66" tiller at the time). The problem is that I...

Can a dealer sell one without a ROPs in the USA? Also, we are talking Europe for most of these tractors so it begs to ask if their rules are the same. The L3200 he is looking at, are slight different than our US versions....

    Tractor and loader manuals contradict

You missed a word, it says "When using the tractor hydraulic to POWER front loader. do not operate boom and bucket cylinders simultaneously" The bottom right is ONLY powering the up (releasing pressure from the curl). Says the same.... For the record, you can do both power up and curl - IF...

Which tractor has the "welded" ROPS? I assume the cheap one? THAT's a deal breaker unless you think you can weld it up better. Why they took it off (if this was the one used in forestry) was to get under trees and not get hung up.... Why they replaced it, because you shouldn't (Edit: ???)...

Of those two choices, buy the $12,600 one and buy $7,000 worth of implements to put it to work. Planter, tiller, shoot you could buy a Front End Loader and still be under $20,000. Tractor by itself doesn't do much work, you need implements to be able to actually do work in the field.

    Adjusting B2301 telescoping stabilizer arms

There should be some slack in the system. You would be better off loosen the tight side by one hole to make both somewhat loose. Just make sure it can not hit the tire. If your implements are new-ish quick hitch is nice to have. If you have old non-standard 3 point equipment, like I do, it...
