    conventional oil is dead?

That's what I ended up doing too (STP). Couldn't find just plain 30 wt non-detergent oil for break in. Rebuilt my well used FH 721 Kawasaki. Had it bored .020 over and then I reassembled with new crank, rods, upper and lower crank bushings, new pistons and rings. Lapped the valves and...

    The sheriff called me.....

^^^^^ Neither is the glow of a cigarette at night, but that got more than one GI shot when they failed to 'cup' their cigarette when smoking. Sniper can see that from hundreds of yards away.

Ever been waiting for something you really really need

Yep. Ordered a part for a deer feeder from a large chain store. The store nearest me (40 miles away) showed they had one. Figured it would be here in a couple of days. Week goes by...no part. Track package and instead of shipping from the store that I ordered it from, it was sent from a...

Put old Diesel in the Tank, Kubota M4700

I would 're'-bleed the system and try again with a fully charged battery. IF it doesn't start (or try to start), then you may be in for some expensive repairs. Sounds like initially... the fuel system was subjected to some nasty water in the fuel.

Can't turn engine after new bearings?

Correct. And the proper terminology for the bearings he has IS as you state. "Undersize" rod bearings (more material on the surface facing the crank journal). Physically it is an oversize bearing to accommodate the regrinding of the crank. Under and Oversize designations simply refer to...

Can't turn engine after new bearings?

Haha..... Yeah, who would have thought that engine lubrication would be important. Surely the OP used assembly lube or at least some oil on the bearings. Looks like the OP has already figured out he has .010" oversize bearings to accommodate a crankshaft that has been turned and...

    Pond dredging Project

That is what we had done on our Fish Pond (about 2 acres). Hired a guy with a 'Long Reach' track-hoe to come and go around the entire pond. He could reach about 25' out and deepened the bottom about 2' all around the perimeter that he could reach. It was expensive, but man what a difference.

Land Pride grooming mower drive belt flipping over

^^^^^ This. Belt was strained somewhere along the way and will have a permanent 'set' causing it to twist. Replace....as advised above.

    Why?

I can answer that with one word. 'Because'. ;) The reason I know that is the correct (and most succinct) answer is that I remember as a child....asking my folks questions they didn't want to bother answering with either 'because' or 'because I said so'. And then doing the same thing with my...

    Chain saw question

IF you don't plan on using it on State/Federal land....ditch the spark arrestor. It will be the next thing to plug up and give you trouble.

    Another PHD Accident

On my tractor I can run the PTO while the tractor is in neutral....so IF I wanted to....I could use a PTO powered implement and be off the tractor at the same time. BUT you would still need to 'feed' the PHD into the hole via the 3 point lever unless it contacted a root/rock and pulled itself...

    Another PHD Accident

Yep. One man PHD (like shown) don't have enough torque to do that anyway and you can immediately get off the throttle of those and stop it. I have one that I use.

Order the parts. Do it right....be done with it. Also, please take pics and document your injector rebuild here. I have the same engine and might need to do this some day. ;)
