Maximum weight of rototiller B7000 can handle

The gear boxes are dry- the dealer told me that beforehand, and I have plenty of gear oil here. As soon as the ice melts off of it, I will fill it up and grease the fittings. I will make it work, whether it be going real slow(er), multiple passes, whatever. Our ground is pretty soft, and the...

Maximum weight of rototiller B7000 can handle

http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/br549_red/?action=view&current=tiller005.jpg Not what I wanted to hear! I just bought a King Kutter 48" tiller today! I have a B7100 HST, and assumed that it would handle it fine. The previous owner used a 48" tiller on it with no issues. Oh, well, I'll...

    4WD not engaging?

That is a good suggestion, but I believe it is time for a new clutch, if he is in low range, on slick ground, and the tires won't spin.

    Kubota B7100HST-D

Duh... I should have looked. I knew that I had seen it, but I suffer from looking too many places, and can't remember where I saw something. It's a good looking 7100.

    Kubota B7100HST-D

Hmm... I know that I have seen that tractor for sale before. Was it on here, or Ebay? Or maybe another Craigslist listing? I would make sure that you go see the tractor in person, before passing along any money. I just wish I could remember where I saw it, but I know that I have. And I live in...

    Oil type question

Kubotaman, like Bulldog said, diesel oils suspend the soot from combustion, where gas engine oils don't. Personally, I wouldn't risk any of my diesel engines by using a marginal gas-engine oil. Rule of thumb, I use diesel-rated oil, and the best filters available.

Kubota B7800 Driveline Noise in 4WD

Yep, and the tractor is more sensitive to the size difference than I thought they would be. I replaced the front tires on my 7100, which went up a 1/2" in diameter, and I had to monkey with the tire pressure to get it to operate in 4WD without binding while driving straight.

Kubota B7800 Driveline Noise in 4WD

Are the tires on it the correct size? Does it bind up when driving in 4WD (more than normal, like when you are turning)? Perhaps the front and rear tires aren't correctly matched, and the bind is damaging the driveline? I would check the owners manual against the tires that are on it, to see if...

    farm diesel

I can't answer for your region, but in mine, the farm diesel is ultra low sulfer, and dyed red. The only difference is that it doesn't have a road tax added to it. I would imagine that your info means that you have to run ultra low sulfer diesel, since it's in a new tractor. As long as your farm...

    stabilizers on B7100

That is a great idea! Very little load, other than the turning effect, is on the pin.

    stabilizers on B7100

Yes, I tighten it. Sometimes, while using the scraper blade, the side-to-side motion works things loose, and there is slack in the stabilizers. Plus, it isn't as convenient when you need to have tools and tighten the nut down everytime you need to adjust things, like when removing the implement...

    B7100 rear hubs are hinky

I haven't pulled the hub yet- I will soon. But, it looks like the wear is on the inside of the hub, and the pin. Both combined seem to be giving me the play that I see. I will check out the newer style hubs. I want to catch this before it does appreciably wear the axle. Thanks for your input and...

Block Heater Fit Issue, Kubota Turbos

How well do the coolant heaters, which mount in the lower radiator hose, work? That shouldn't be too hard to install, if it is worth it.

    stabilizers on B7100

Does anyone have a successful solution to the turnbuckle stabilizers? They are ok, but they tend to loosen up as the implement moves. My dad has a Ford 3910, with the adjustable bars. Each bar has a pin, with a myriad of holes. Line both sides up, drop in the pins, and it stays put. Does anyone...

    Got stuck in 4wd?

It is a completely normal function of your drive system. Nothing is wrong with it. If both front tires are on the same surface, experiencing the same amount of traction, both will spin. When one of them is on a slicker surface than the other, then the tire with less traction will spin. That is...

    Winter Oil

I have to disagree with that statement, at some point. While synthetics are great, they do help to run cooler, they do flow better at low temps, and you can go farther between changes, at the same time, there are literally billions of pieces of equipment out there, giving lots of long life...

    B7100 rear hubs are hinky

I would assume that other owners of B7100's have the same issue that I do- the hubs move on the axle. My tractor is well kept and has low hours, but when going backwards and forwards, I can see the rear wheel, either side, move around until the shaft takes up the slack in the hub. Are the hubs...

    B series

I tend to agree with jeepfreak. Tons of tractors have oil and grease leaks, and the paint isn't peeling off underneath. More than likely, the oil was on the metal, and the paint didn't bond. Kubota's are fine pieces of equipment, but time will show that nobody can make them all perfect. Getting...

    Winter Oil

Watch it, there. This sure sounds like an Amsoil commercial. There are so many factors involved, you will still have a hard time convincing me that Amsoil is the oil that beats all. I have no doubt that it is good. I just doubt that it is any better, given the costs. I belong to many different...
