    Second "Kubota"?

I really look forward to learning the machine, and putting it to good use. Interestingly, in my searches for information on Bobcat's, the top advice was to make sure it had a Kubota engine in it. The 4 cylinder runs very well, and is in good shape. It runs smooth from idle to full throttle, and...

    Second "Kubota"?

Here are a couple of pics. http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/br549_red/?action=view&current=Birthday12004.jpg http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/br549_red/?action=view&current=Birthday12005.jpg It will take getting used to- it operates so differently. I am used to my feet controlling...

    Second "Kubota"?

My dad and I are buying a Bobcat 743 skidloader today- I'm leaving shortly to go pick it up. It has a 36 hp, 4 cylinder Kubota diesel in it. Does that count? It even has orange wheels. We operate a small (8-10) horse farm at my place. My father has always been into horses, and my younger...

How to set up 3 pt. snowblower? Need advise.

I agree with Eric- adjust the top link some, so that the blower rides on the feet, and not the front/intake of the blower. If your ground is soft like you said, then the built in feet are probably digging in, allowing the front edge to dig in. When the ground is soft, you may have to raise the...

    Total Weight?

I agree that tires are a good place to start looking at. Also check your suspension, and the wheel bearings. Is everything tight? Have you had the bearings serviced? Are they torqued properly? If you are loading the trailer properly, then it has to be either tires or suspension. I doubt that...

    Looks like we got spamed

I have lived in Florida for 3 years, been to Haiti a zillion times, spent a summer in Egypt, two summers in Indonesia, and two summers in Jamaica, and I have never been as hot as on a Summer day in Virginia, right after a shower. Sweltering hardly describes it. And, if it was a dig, I wouldn't...

    Looks like we got spamed

Hey now, if that's a dig on Virginia, can we poke fun at how people from Idaho spell?

Must be you, Eric. I don't get pizza ads, either.

    Merry Christmas!

So, then, maybe everyone's New Year's resolution should be to find Eric a wife- the woman that sold me my Kubota was single, and even had her own Kubota. She was old, though...

    Merry Christmas!

Well, Eric, you're not alone- you've got friends here. Do you have friends with kids? Lavish them at Christmas- they don't have to be your own to spread some Christmas cheer...

    Digging in frozen ground?

If it's only an inch or so, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be able to break through that. The only thing to do is give it a try. Either it will, or it won't- it won't hurt anything.

Front Drive Shaft falling off on BX2200

You might want to just give the front end a good once-over- if the shaft is tough to get back into place, it would have to be just as tough to get it to fall off. Perhaps you have something/things loose on the front axle, allowing it to move or drop more than it should when you are going over...

    What weight oil for winter?

15-40 Rotella year round here in VA, no problems, more power than traction so I don't see the weight of the oil being an issue.

    Outside Air Temp.Gauge

Once, when working in a customer's house, I used a very fancy toilet set. It had a thermostat to control how warm the seat was, another control to set the temperature of the water that would squirt up and clean your bum, and then another control for warm air to dry you off. I figure that is just...

    3pt Attachments

It is conditional- it depends on what type of implement, what you are trying to do, and what your environment is. I like mine tight for the finish mower tiller, and scraper blade. I want to control them with the steering wheel, not have them slapping around. Something like a post hole digger...
