Can't find a B2601, is the B2601 the right pick.

I thought the same, but I sure do enjoy that extra little bit of muscle and weight with the LX. It's a lot bigger than the BX, and is pretty close to a 'real' tractor. It ain't no toy, for sure. I just finished putting the grab-hooks and D-rings on/in the bucket in this photo.

PVC mistakes... anyone else do this?

It's Ok. I had on my super grippy bare feet any time I was running around the pools, and there was no water in the pool to drown in. Yet. I was very experienced at running around pools. Especially when one customer's semi-vicious 180 pound St. Bernard (can we say Cujo?) decided it was a good...

Can't find a B2601, is the B2601 the right pick.

Any reason you don't want to consider the LX series? LX2610 HST with mid PTO would do exactly what you're wanting, quite nicely, and you can option it out with some pretty nice tricks. My LX was actually about $3-4 K less than the B2650 that I wanted. Since the LX is supposed to be replacing...

PVC mistakes... anyone else do this?

The cleaner is normally acetone based. Some add dyes to show you where you've 'cleaned'. Acetone will dissolve and soften the top layer of the PVC, but eventually, the PVC will shrink (especially if there are any temperature cycles) and separate, and needless to say, will no longer pass the...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Yeah, it'll be close, but I think I'll be OK. I think the WM-8H is a bit heavier than the WC-68. Need to look again, but neither is going to be a problem on the back. The only time I should be moving it with the loader is unloading it from the truck when it gets here. After that, it can ride...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Again, thanks for more input. The numbers on the Kubota FEL's are supposed to be it's lifting capacity, i.e., 535kg, at the bucket pivot pins on the boom. Obviously, these are marketing numbers, and most of the lifting capacity will be determined by the max pressure of the pump on the...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Check your loader spec, but I'm thinking you'll be OK. Just make sure to have your heaviest attachment on the back for ballast when you unload it, and I hope your tires are filled too. Operating weight is still just under 1000 lbs. If 30 pounds is make or break, all I can say is pick up...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Yeah, that might just be a little misleading, but I'm sure there's some fine print somewhere to protect them from trade acts and lawyers. Perhaps touting AMERICAN knives in the adverts might have a little to do with it as well. With some American content, it would certainly avoid some tariff...

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Appreciate the input. I'm fishing for ideas and offering my observations based on what I've already seen, not trying to criticize what someone else has done. With the HST, there's nothing to shift to go backward. It's just a rocker pedal that only needs to move a tiny bit to move the...

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Didn't think so. I did a lot of homework before I purchased, but didn't really think about this until after I got the tractor. It's noisy enough folks nearby should be paying attention. I just like for 'em to know which direction it's going to move. Best bet is to keep spectators at safe...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Thanks for the input. I think I've got it narrowed down to the Woodland Mills WC-68 or the WoodMaxx WM-8H. Apparently both are Chinese knockoffs, but well made just the same. Seems unavoidable these days, and it's only gonna get worse. What I like about the WM-8H is the low, flat chute angle...

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Just not on the LX series tractors (new for 2020), or is that an option that I missed somewhere?

    Turning a tractor over

Yup, was pointing out the "use BOTH", meaning unless the rops is down, then use neither. Sorry, I speak in a combination of engineeringese and governmentese. Too many government jobs.

    Ryobi Grease Gun

I went with an air-operated gun from O'Reilly's Auto parts. Even my tiny little pancake compressor makes plenty air for it at 90 PSI. It may not be quite as cool or convenient as a battery operated one, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper.

    WWII internment camps

There was also a large camp at Aliceville, Alabama. Like many others, the German POWs were looked after very well, and were also allowed work furloughs with the local farmers. After the war ended, if memory serves, less than 5% of the German POWs interred at Aliceville returned to Germany...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

Yup, that was my thinking too. Got several neighbors with the same kind of property issues that I have that just might appreciate a neighbor with cool noisy toys. Again, thanks for the input.

    B2601 or L2501

Choosing between the B and the L puts you in the perfect category for an LX. Good reviews about the newer emissions systems on the LX3310, and the LX2610 doesn't have emissions hardware. The best part is that you'll probably get a better price on the newer model, especially compared to the B...

What a difference a day makes

I wouldn't know what to do if SOMETHING wasn't broken on the equipment I wanted to use. It's a way of life when the only luck you have is BAD.

    Why No Seat Belt Interlock?

I think that was EXACTLY my point. I was just hoping for a new flavor.

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

My Husqy has a single treadle, just like the 'bota. No lights at all, other than pretty wimpy headlights. But it's definitely got an interlock that kills the engine if I don't have the key switch set to bypass it. I just need to look at what Husqvarna did, and see if I can adapt that to the...
