No worries about the saw mill. We had a pulley drive similar to the one in your photo for our Farmall Cub. That was a fantastic little tractor as long as you didn’t make any sudden right turns or put the left side of the tractor downhill. I spent many hours of my youth on that little tractor.

I prefer chipping right after a rain. Helps keep the wood dust down some and prevent quite such a mess on the tractor. Especially if the brush is dry. If it’s green, no worries.

Having been hit with a 3” diameter seasoned pine knot that came out from under a bush hog, I can attest, it hurts. A lot. It nearly knocked me unconscious and my ears rang for a while. I put chain guards on the cutter after that across the front and on one side to give stuff a way out, but not...

Inter good(sometimes). IN bad(ALWAYS) Let’s just say the gene pool might be a little shallow. However, one of the country’s longest US highways runs through the north of town, and it has one of the highest arrest rates for illegal transport and distribution of controlled substances and it also...

I just realized the location of the arrest. If that’s the Moulton in Alabama(Northwest of Cullman), I’m not surprised at all. There IS a lot going on in that town, but little that will improve one’s mental image of it. I think the toothbrush was invented there because otherwise it would have...

Kinda reminds me of my step-dad. I went to his funeral to make sure he was in the box.

No big hurry at all. Don't put yourself out. I could buy a new one, but why do that if someone has one they don't use any more? That's the cheapskate in me talking.:ROFLMAO:

The Granberg is one of many brands I've looked at. Seems each and every brand has at least one thing I don't like (excluding the hard work which they all have in common). The Granberg planking mill costs about twice as much as other brands on Amazon, but it's also the only one made here in the...

If ya still have it and don't want it, let me know what ya want for it. They're about $100 on Amazon for the Chinesium stuff. I'm still a bit hesitant to spend $5K - $6K on something that could become a very expensive yard ornament. I call myself frugal, the missus calls me stingy...

It’s too far to walk back out there for photos, finally tried out a homemade jig to mill a couple of 6x6 timbers from some pine logs accumulated from downfall on my property. A. Did not have the proper chain for the saw. B. The 2x4 I used for a guide tried to crawl off several times while I was...

You been in my house? I’m pretty sure the builder didn’t own a plumb bob, framing square, or level. Sure makes renovation and remodeling interesting.

That one is forced flow. Pump is in the pool. The pool holds water very well, but there is a lot more evaporative loss when it’s running. Frogs seem to get most of the skeeters stupid enough to try to reproduce in it. It doesn’t freeze in our mild winter if it runs. The pump is submerged and...

Sorta like what I need to do (x3) but I’m not so fortunate to have wide open space to do it in. Three washes cross my property and all need some serious erosion control. The raised beds and water feature are actually my first efforts to keep my property where it was when I bought it. I did...

You are showering regularly, right? Just kidding of course. I live about 200 feet from a busy road and we get slow dying roadkill in the ditch (crawl/fall in and can’t get out) between us and the neighbors. Seeing a lot of coyote along with the buzzards lately. Might be time to start making the...
