Am I to understand that trailer is dedicated to storing your firewood through the summer? Now I AM jealous. That looks like a nice dump trailer from this angle.

I'm pretty jealous of anyone that has more than 2 inches of topsoil. I'll see your powdered rock , and raise you an old dump site full of broken glass and who knows what else. I've dug some really weird stuff up out there including shoe heels, body parts from dolls (creeped out my...

Ain't cheap might be a little bit of an understatement. Kubota's proud of their kit. REAL proud. I put the 3rd function valve on my LX. I got the Summit kit, which all in all was a good kit, but they could have done better with some things. My loader valve is mounted on the side of the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yeah, considering rear remotes for my LX. Most of the work I have left on my property is moving dirt and converting old erosion ditches to smooth swales. The current plan is A.get a rear blade, B. get a boxblade wider than the LX(need at least 60” blade), and a top/tilt package for the 3-point.

Dead pine just across the line in my neighbor’s yard fell yesterday while we were having a bit of wind. Been expecting it to fall for a few years. Very solid stump, though, because it was hit several times by lightning while it was still living. Lightning damage attracted beetles, you do the...

Well, I'm going out on a limb here, and gonna say that if I post one of my home brew setup, it's gonna be because I had to move the tractor outta the way to set it up. I brew in the tractor shed and tractor in the brew shed. Ergo, beer does have a connection to tractors. Any other kinda beer...

He actually went to school with my oldest stepson. Kinda weird when the kids that went to school with your kids start filling up the neighborhood you've been living in for 20 years. Kinda paints the writing on the wall, so to speak. So he's young, late 20's early 30's definitely, and...

A young couple moved in next door a couple years ago. I kinda liked the guy because he was very industrious and was cleaning up brush and overgrown trees and weeds that the previous neighbor wouldn't touch for the first 16 years I lived here, much like I've been doing for my entire time of...

Dunno how you got your GE Stock, but I hope you weren't another Jeff Immelt victim. I could rant for hours about that man, but I'll sum it up and just say there's a special place in Hell waiting for him.

Your ballast block looks remarkably like the chunk of concrete the previous owners poured around a basketball goal post next to my driveway. This was not a fun evening.

Easy fix. Just leave the hose disconnected and push on on cylinder. The other will extend. I was surprised how easy it is to move the cylinders without power to them. I disassembled my loader last year to clean off excess grease in places that are hard to get to. It was quite easy to move the...

You think you had it bad, my MOM came from Germany. I had to offset that in my latter years with a much calmer Aussie. DUUH, her dad immigrated to Oz from Germany. The really bad part is most of my paternal ancestry is a bunch of hot-headed Scots and Brits. And people wonder why I have an...

Hmm, better thee than me. I cut grass today with my sleeves rolled up on the little orange machine (Husqvarna). I'd MUCH rather mow grass than move snow. I have no experience with the latter, but I live in the South for several reasons, and NONE of them is for the snowfall.

I took my WC68 (900 lbs ship weight) off a pup trailer with my LX, LA535, and clamp on forks which push the load about a foot farther out than the bucket edge. Only needed enough lift to clear the edge of the tailgate of the trailer and hold it, otherwise I was gonna be hosed. I lifted, and the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yeah, I drove manuals for YEARS because my ex couldn't. Easiest way to keep her outta my vehicle and make sure it didn't get dents in it. You're right, though, manuals are disappearing. It probably costs too much to keep two transmission lines rolling, nevermind they can say they're geting...

That time when a manual transmission is the cat’s pajamas. Roll it and dump the clutch. Newer vehicles don’t like roll starting though. I had a 92 F150 with a 5-speed behind a little 5.0. Can’t count the times I roll started it, just because I was sitting on a hill.

Have ya thought about graphite impregnated bronze to replace them? You'd never have to lubricate them, and I'd bet they last a lot longer than plastic. If it's the wheels themselves, perhaps something with a ball bearing in it might be better suited. I don't like plastic bushings in anything...
