Does anyone know if the hydraulic lockout on the 2380 has a spring on it? Mine is difficult to operate. It looks like a spring maybe should be attached to it on a tab under the wheel well, but not having the WSM for a 2380 I don't know. Speaking of WSM, anyone know where to find a .pdf WSM...
You can post photos here directly from your computer (and probably phone, too, but I don't use my phone for internet stuff) without using a photo hosting site, but if you want a new photo hosting site try Imgur.
As I said, the one pictured in the OP won't work on a 2380. The hood on the 2370 and the 2380 are different. You may want to consider the one from Earth and Turf.

The one in the pic I attached is the standard one from Kubota...
Not a fan of the new BX grill guards, either. I can think of several ways it could have been done better. As far as the one in the OP, I don't like it, either. It's not going to tilt out of the way when you raise the hood.
I have R4s on my 2380 and don't tear up the lawn, but a 2380 is a much smaller tractor than a 4701. I think R4s are a great compromise between R1s and turf tires.
A shame about your ash trees. I only have one and so far have seen no evidence of EAB. My problem is my dogwoods. When I moved here 12 years ago I quit counting at 60 on my couple of acres. Fewer of them now due to anthracnose.
Yeah, guys, I know the manuals have the instructions for setting up the mower and the anti scalp wheels correctly and I know how to do that. I've had a 2370 for 2 years and I've been wrenching on stuff since I was a kid in the 60s. I'm not one of those folks that comes here and says I just got...
Go with what SWMBO wants. Neither of you will be disappointed! You wouldn't be disappointed with the 1880, either, but a happy wife makes a happy life. The 2380 is a great machine.
I'd pass on it. If the dealer doesn't even want to fix it I'm pretty certain I wouldn't want to tackle it. He might have a great price on it, but the big unknown seems to be what's it really going to cost you in the end.
Lots of good information there, lugbolt. Appreciate it. Actually, the mower is not doing anything yet. I'm in the process of getting it leveled. It was way out of whack (side to side and front to rear) when it was delivered from the dealer. Changed out the stock blades for Gator blades and...
