    2015 BX2200D with 3709 hours

I agree with others. Main barriers are: high hours. Not totally unreasonable, but it's high no loader BX not really suitable for a post hole borer. It can be done, but a B size machine would be better something's wrong with the listing, in that a BX2200 was out of production by 2015, it was...

Anyone able to explain what exactly these options are?

On an L, how often would you remove the loader? On a BX (or a B) you do it a lot to mow. But you're unlikely to mow with an L, so I'd have thought the loader is pretty much permanently on. I'm not sure I'd spend for a single lever manifold for something you might take on and off a couple times ever?

Kubota Tractor Extended Warranty, Is It Worth the Cost?

I wouldn't. That's a relatively simple model (does have some emissions and computers on it). People will be doing a a few hundred hours a year on a machine like that. They don't have any reputation for breaking. On average that warranty is a big profit centre for Kubota. If you're very unlucky...

    L2502

For the engine, any quality diesel rated oil of the right measures for your climate. I personally use Kubota branded, but only because I can get it at the same time as my hydraulic fluid, and I don't have to think too much. (Last time I bought some, I got the missus to pick up the pack of stuff...

    I think I overpaid

Bought my generator today. https://www.hondaoutdoors.co.nz/generators/eu30is Really happy with it so far (reasonable size, starts easily, runs quietly). Haven't got the wiring done yet to connect it to anything, but since my water pump is currently running off an extension lead (the power...

    I think I overpaid

My logic was you turn the fuel tap off and run to starvation (don't gum up the carb). And put a little fuel in each time, run it once every 3 months. I tend to put in high octane as that's what I have for the boat anyway, which I think lasts longer than lower octane. Does flag another...

    I think I overpaid

I'm getting a proper disconnect/switch over. The panel is near the garage, but I don't want to run a generator inside the garage - too much carbon monoxide risk there (and there are bedrooms attached to the garage). I do have another shed, but that's a long way to run a line. I can get a 7kw...

    I think I overpaid

My pumps aren't well pumps, we have water tanks (rainwater) and therefore a household supply pump. It's about 1kw. We also have a pump that pumps from the lake for lawn irrigation, a similar size. In theory the 3kw will run both, but we'll find out - if it turns out it's not sufficient...

    I think I overpaid

About to push the button to buy a backup generator. I'm tight. I'm buying a 3kw Honda. Recommendation is a 7kw, but it's double the price and very large. I'm mostly getting the generator to make the other half happy, she worries about power out. We have oil heating and water heating, and gas for...

    B2650 vs b3030

Why would you not be able to clean the auger with a lever operated clutch? I believe the hydraulic clutch engages reasonably smoothly, certainly that's my experience with my B2601. I do usually power down rather than engaging at full revs.

    I think I overpaid

I never got a free hat. I did work pretty hard on price though, so perhaps they weren't inclined to give a hat after the work they went through. And I told them I wanted a new tractor off the boat, not one that had sat on their yard getting rusty first (since my tractor lives in side). Of...

    L3902 price used

I'd usually advise against buying a machine without a loader, as they can be hard to find and add later. But with a machine that new you could just buy a new loader.

    I think I overpaid

Sounds like your price is about the market rate, and when you finance at 0% you lose a bit of bargaining room. You're driving that tractor for 5 years on someone else's money, I'd say you got a pretty good deal. It'll never be cheaper than it was today, in 3 years time you'll be looking back...

    I think I overpaid

I've never regretted my B2601, also bought new. Upgrade from a very beat up BX, I fretted about it for about 3 years before finally doing it. It cost a bit more than my car did. But that car is gone, and the next one too, and the tractor is still worth what I paid for it. Personally, I don't...

    Which Tractor

3rd function and newer v's more HP and a couple of attachments. You can add a 3rd function. You can buy attachments. You can never change the HP of your machine. I'd probably lean towards the L4060

    Mx6000 vs M6060

Depends on your climate. In my climate, it's never that hot nor cold. We don't have a lot of bugs. Open station is fine. If it's raining I don't do tractor work (I mostly mow anyway, and I don't mow in the wet). If you live in a place that gets very hot or very cold or both, or I guess very...

    Buying a used machine

The machine itself is probably fine, and looks in good condition. Are you snow blowing or plowing? If you're looking for a front snow blower, you really want to buy a machine with one, they're not easy to add later. If you are plowing, less of an issue, although a lot of people would recommend...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

One of the reasons I upgraded to the B2601 was that I can get a backhoe without needing an extensive subframe (I can add it later, unlike the BX). I sometimes want one. I'd guess I'd have dug with on 2 times in the last two years. I dug by hand instead. Digging by hand sucks, but I also ended...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

Interesting. I heard it somewhere, and I'm looking for that. I see this comment (which may or may not be true as well): https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/wheel-weights-question-and-filled-tires.19726/ saying it's about drive train, and the ability for the drive train to slip. So...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

Apparently the weight is hard on the outriggers.
