    Nice description.

    Where to set the throttle?

3-point pto-driven post hole diggers run maybe 300 rpm pto speed which is barely above engine idle. The auger's instructions will state the max pto shaft rpm. Don't run it much above that. My B2650HSD spec is 2500RPM for rated HP/Torque. I run at 540 rear PTO (about 2400rpm engine) for the...

    It's a tractor, not a 4 wheeler.......Meet the 8th dwarf ........."Happy DUMBASS"!!!!

This thread got me thinking the time I had my B2650 axles buried in mucky slop and all 4 wheels spinning uselessly trying to escape. Hearing the tales of bucket-clawing out of these holes just reminded me that I had my PALLET FORKS on at the time, and they were absolutely great for such...

2" reciever on top of bucket

I did this too. Makes for an interesting to operate and highly maneuverable hitch. I also got a 3-point hitch receiver frame for trailering from the back.

Parking brake does not hold tractor

Adjust both brake pedals' free-play to factory spec, then make sure the park brake lever sets correctly.

    Optimum Rpm.

Rated rpms for pto usage 540rpm rear and 2500rpm front, when pto in use. 540 rear pto is about 2450rpm engine rpm, 2500 front is 2500 engine rpm. When using backhoe I run at 2500rpm. My B2650 manual states 2500 rpm for "rated" HP output, so I don't run it past 2500. When doodling/working with...

    Winter is coming!

Well if my tractor's fuel filter is it's water filter then yes, I've also got a fuel/water filter. It's just never been referred to as it's "water" filter that I can remember.

    Winter is coming!

My B2650 has no fuel water filter, that I know. And after 6 years of seafoam treatment with no fuel issues of any kind whatsoever, I'm confident there's no issue. It just works.

    Winter is coming!

I add a maintenance amount of Sea Foam at every fuel can filling year round and have never had any of the OP mentioned seasonal fuel issues, actually no issues at all, with any diesel or gas machine I use. Temps here go from summer +35C max to winter -40C min. So my response to all the posts...

Most used attachment for your compact

Another vote for the pallet forks w/boxblade combo!

Most used attachment for your compact

The most used set I have on the tractor is the pallet forks in front with BB1560 box blade on the 3-point.

How many implements do you have?

9 here for my B2650HSD. 5 up front new when tractor bought - BH77, boxblade, FEL, pallet forks, snow blower. 4 with time over 4 or 5 years - chipper, receiver hitch, subsoiler, rotary mower

Land Pride box blade defective shank failure

Looks newish, so if it was bought new by you from a dealer I'd get in their face right away.

    400 Hr Service

Use the Kubota stuff. Really not worth the risk using off brand. And even if you found equal quality and spec parts and fluids (you likely will not) they'd cost the same anyway. This forum is riddled with talks about this subject. Other than a few members here finding their non-kubota...

    !5-40 Rotella oil

I get -30C (with coolant block heater) to +30C starting temp range here in S Manitoba and the first few changes used the recommended 10w-30 Kubota oil, loath then as yet to use anything not explicitly recommended in the new tractor's maintenance manual. I had read here of T6 5W-40 doing well in...

What Do People Do With The Loose Hyd Fitting Covers?

My solution for hydraulic fitting protection, when connected or not, was invented to keep swirling snow and ice crystals off of the 4 connections for the loader lines, which are also the height and chute lines for the front snow blower. Hot hydraulic fluid circulating in use melts snow on...

Kubota Says No Wheel Ballast With a Backhoe.

My BH77 stabilizer legs take enough of a beating carrying the tractor's rear weight with no tire fill, and getting thrown around by the backhoe. The tractor's rear gets pushed off the ground and side-to-side regularly, and I'd hate to think what loaded rear tires would add to the stress levels...

    Mechanical Thumb Question

No worries the thumb withstanding curl pressure. The factory installed thumb on my BH77, when engaged and in use somewhere in its adjustment travel, holds whatever I grab at full curl pressure, and the hydraulic bypass cuts in. Rocks, logs, stumps, or whatever is being curl-crushed against the...

    New Pallet Forks

My BB1560 box blade is all that's needed to keep the rear wheels solidly planted when the forks are lifting the max load that the hydraulics can lift. And with that maximum load 6-8" off the ground it's in a low trans range, mid-high engine rpm, slow speed, 4x4 engaged ride moving it around...
