    L2501 Chipper Woodland Mills WC46 vs WC68

A hint about the spruce/pine/fir tops., feed them top first. I was helping a neighbor chip up some small pine trees on his yard and we were having to take the WC68 roller cover off to unjam the needles and twigs regularly. I went home for lunch leaving my neighbor chipping away (he's got 2...

    BX2816 snow blower rpm question

Then why would my 26HP 3 cylinder have a power/torque to rpm curve that says it works best at 2500 rpm? When you say "these engines", are you referring to all CUT and SCUT small diesels? Just saying, if Kubota builds 3-cyl diesel powered generators in my 26 hp range then the engine would be...

    BX2816 snow blower rpm question

I adjust to 2500 (rated) mid-pto and snowblower rpm with tractor and blower warmed up a few minutes and no load on the blower, just at a stop. Then under the heaviest blower load I rarely drop to under 2350 rpm, a drop of only 150rpm, before it feels like it's going to start lugging and I back...

YUk! What was the tractor doing, grinding corn for a living or something?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yesterday afternoon's last load to skid to the bucking pile. The tamarack forest floor is very rough and gets swampy fast in the spring, and the trail gets narrow, so leave the trailer a hundred yards back up where the trail solidifies and widens so I can pile, cut to length, and load the trailer.

    New LX 3310

35% is enormous indeed, but I come up with 27% increase not 35%. Please show me your numbers and math. My numbers are 33HP vs 26HP. So 33/26 = 1.27 which tells me it's a 27% increase. Or even 26HP with 7HP increase: 7/27 = 26% increase looked at that way. 35%? How?

    New LX 3310

Ya no glow plugs, uses air heater. Seriously, for the few added HP and nothing more I wonder why buyers go for the 3310 over the 2610 when the 3310 simply adds turbo and the requisite pita DPF systems. All needing operator attention and are added systems subject to failure compared to the 26...

    B2650 PTO horsepower.

I had the same question when I biought my WC68 chipper, my tractor's rated pto hp doesn't quite meeet the minumum spec'd for the chipper, but the Woodland Mills has a tractor hp checker and it gave my B2650 the thumbs up to rum the WC68 so I went for it. Positive feedback from actual users made...

    B2650 PTO horsepower.

I'm running a Woodland Mills WC68 (6"x8" opening capacity) chipper behind my B2650 "19.5" PTO HP. No problem. Just keep the infeed speed slower for bigger stuff. I've ben running the chipper for 4 years and pushed probably 10 cu yards of chips a year through it.

    Adjust position control on 3ph

My B2650's position control has no effect lifting the arms (with nothing attached to them) until the lever is brought to about position #4. I also asked here about this and it seems all that Kubota CUTS that sport position control 3-point are about the same, no lift until around position 4. The...

    Snowblower won't drop to level?

Raise the blower a few inches then lengthen the 3-point top link. Then adjust the top link with the blower barely touching the ground until the blower sits level. Re-tighten the top link adjuster locknut.

    LX2610 or LX3310

Go SSQA with the FEL and get adjustable-width 2000lb 42" pallet forks too. I just spent 5 hours harvesting tamarack firewood using those forks, and a 3-point hitch receiver on the back with a chain to skid them out. IMO forks are more adaptable than a grapple. I used them a few times today...

    Air filter clogged with snow

I considered buying a nice custom winter jacket like the member here makes for units like my B2650, as I had issues with both low winter engine temps and snowpack in the air intake the first winter. Didn't spring $ for the nice tractor coat, but tempted. Did this instead. Requires: - Tin...

    LX2963 chute deflector

Yes 7000100871 is the cylinder, it's a 2" x 5" unit and costs $700 CAD to replace, Ouch, I had a seal leaking on my snow blower B2714C quick hitch so got the seal kit $75 and had a shop install the seals for another $120. It seems hydraulic anything is costly as hell, as I mentioned at the...

Front Wheel drive? On 4x4 tractor

I'd say the opposite, especially if there's a heavy load in the FEL being carted down a hill. Without the front wheels engaged, you'll be changing your underwear and maybe pants too when the rear wheels lose traction going down a hill and with them your brakes. With the front free spinning the...

Way to go with the new machine! If your experience is like mine and many others it seems, with care these tractors will give you little trouble and reliably do TONS of work for years and decades to come. I noticed your rops led lights are mounted with through bolts drilled through the rops...

    Backhoe issue?

Sure, but it might be audible, and watching the cyls retract in real time demos how bad it is. And strictly speaking, fluid is flowing THROUGH the system and the valve(s), not backwards. And a question, is there only one path for fluid in each of the 2 outrigger valves? Like simply that a...

    Backhoe issue?

I periodically have to lower my BH77 outriggers to stabilize the rear end, but it's not because the outriggers move, but the ground shifting or compressing under them. You have rocky soil so not likely your issue, but have you a spot on pavement you can raise the rear wheels up from and shut...

    BX2816 snow blower rpm question

When posters here say WOT (Wide Open Throttle) what are you saying? 1 - you push the throttle lever ALL THE WAY (Wide Open) to the max physical stop on the lever, whatever the top RPM ends up being? or 2 - you adjust the throttle lever open until the tach indicates close to the tractor's...

Snowblower pushing snow & not blowing

I find occasionally that certain snow, temperature, and ground conditions can make the snow "block up" in front of my snowblower and refuse to feed, thus skating ahead of it when the snow mass breaks loose underneath, as you describe. I run my front mount blower at full operating rpm which is...
