    fuel pump l3800

Ask them to check if the 3 year powertrain warranty can help you. What is wrong with the pump? Which pump, the low pressure or the injection pump? Been a good while since I've had to deal with fuel system components on the 3200/3800/4600. Pretty bulletproof tractors.

    B7500 losing power

Black and white smoke when the engine is loaded, or accelerated, is generally indicative of starvation for air.

Any "city boy" tractor owners out there?

City boy tractor owners....aka hobby farmers..... That's 90% of our customer base. Sometimes a little challenging to explain things to but by an large, they learn quickly. I bought my first place in 2013. 2 1/2 acres, all flat, mow it with a G1900-S with 54" MMM. Month or so ago I traded my...

    regeneration danger

I haven't heard of it, not in the almost 2 years that the L01's have been out. Regen is done at higher engine RPM, so with it in regen, the engine oil is getting hot-and hot oil is less likely to hold fuel. It will evaporate, not like gasoline, but it will with heat. Ford trucks aren't...

    Large shavings in hydraulic filter

The last 25 or so tractors I've serviced, the magnet has had a LOT of shavings on them. Of those, the ones that came back for 200 hr service, the filters were clean. Just some manufacturing debris. Magnet picks it up within 10 minutes of run time most likely. Sent email to Kubota in Fort...

Engine oil black during new break-in period.

Diesels turn the oil black a lot quicker than gas engines do. Perfectly normal.

BX25D front tires going flat/ dealer replacement

Slime won't fix rim leaks. Unless the entire tire is filled, which would be, what? 20 tubes of slime? Yes, the tire/rim assembly is a LOT cheaper through wholegoods. Forget the part number but it was less than half price as opposed to 2 new tires alone from parts department.

BX25D front tires going flat/ dealer replacement

Kubota did have some issue with that particular tire. I do not know whether it was isolated to a particular tire mold date, or what. They replaced a bunch of them; with warranty. Some of the new ones that replaced a customer's old leaky ones leaked as well. I recommended putting tubes into...

    Kubota B2530 PTO brake issue

I hate working on the B series. I'd rather split a big M than have to split a B or BX tractor

    L3800 neutral switch (HST pedal)

The switch is mounted under the steering column, kind of down under everything. Just to the left of your right foot as you are sitting on the tractor. It's mounted to a bracket, the bracket held on by a 12mm hex head bolt. Remove the bolt, then pull the bracket out, loosen the switch's jam...

    M5700HDC clutch housing

Re: M5700HDC couch housing Should be nothing but air in the clutch housing. Sometimes a little dust, and ever once in a while, a little moisture/condensation-and that is the purpose of the "drain". To drain any condensation. If there is oil in there, there is a leak. If trans fluid, either...

    M135gx

Yes, they are a little noisy. I did not really care for the idea of using a big 4 cylinder engine in those tractors; I'd have liked to seen a 5 cylinder or even a small 6. Haven't looked at the big M's yet to see what powers them. I'd hope something other than a huge 4 cylinder (175 hp I...

    L35/BT900 Hydraulic Working Pressure

2480 to 2560 psi, IIRC. you'll want to double check the service manuals for the diagrams and how to test/set/adjust the pressures. It's easy to go overboard with the pressures...have had tons of them come into the shop with them "turned up" to over 3000 psi, they work harder that way. When...

With all of the "new" EPA laws coming into effect...I'd suggest rebuilding it as opposed to replacing it ;)

lost power when hitch fully raised

On one side of the lift arms, there is a rod with a turnbuckle. The turnbuckle is the adjustment. The adjustment is such that the lift arms should have about 3/4" of "free travel". Meaning, with the lift lever pulled all the way to "up", you should be able to move the lift arms upward another...

L4400 fuel relay and solenoid issues

Commonly the HST switch being a little too sensitive. It is adjustable to make it less sensitive. When you crank the engine, there is just enough of a "jerk" and "vibration" in the tractor/transmission to "trip" the switch, which then shuts the fuel solenoid off. DT's, have seen the neutral...

    Crummy BX handle

Have done a few of those. Wanted to invent new words but I know better. Take the insert, glue it back into the handle. Do not install the handle until the glue is dry, typically 24 hours. Once it's dry, run a 10mm 1.25 tap or thread chaser into the insert. Now install it, using never-seize...

    B3350 DPF Regen problems

That system is a reformer type regen system. A total joke. The reformer injects fuel directly into the exhaust stream. It also uses a blower to blow air into the exhaust during regen, combined with the fuel, it raises the exhaust temperature enough to satisfy the requirement to "regenerate"...

hydraulic pump not going on M5700

Try taking the fill cap off while the engine is running, see if it primes. If it does, the transmission vent is plugged.
