    Leaky Sprayer Tank

Larry I have good success with using a fiber glass repair kit with the mat and resin. You would have to take the tank off and sand the tank lightly and then use the patch kit. Have repair many plastic water storage and spray tanks that way. It work well. Friend of mine tried the plastic...

    Disc harrows

mcmxi The problem with discs is it disturbs the weed seeds in the ground and you have more weeds then. You need a sprayer and a no till drill to get the grass started and keep spraying the weeds. Your going to need to trap what ever is digging the holes. We have lot of critters around here...

    L3302 for first tractor?

crimecrusher. I started out about a year ago to replace my small Agco with one with a FEL. I mostly used my Agco for spot spraying during the summer. I looked at a 2501 about the size of the Agco and then thought I had a 4701 bought and it got sold out from under me. Ended up buying a MX6000...

    Locating a M60 series tractor

I don't have a dealer that I coffee and donut with in any color equipment so when the tractor I thought I had bought got sold out from under me at a dealer 70 miles away and the one he found to replace it with from another dealer was three grand plus more. I got on Kubota's web site and did the...

    3pt disk question

Years ago I did a fair amount of food plots for hire. Used a small Agco tractor with a three point mounted four foot one way disc with a electric driven broadcaster mounted on it and pulled a five foot wide harrow section behind the disc. That set up worked great. You just make the food plot...

New? Land Pride K-Hitch - Automatic Rear PTO Hookup

I fixed the problem of hooking and unhooking equipment on this farm by buying more tractors. The sixteen row planter is still hookup to the tractor and will be until that tractor is needed for the grain cart this fall. Will be hooking up the batwing mower to the 4440 JD soon and it will be on...

    GAS Prices Dont Matter

It was nice then you could go to town and get parts and no one on the road. Five dollar gas hasn't kept any one home around here. I never go to town on the weekends. Too much traffic and too many people.

    Engine Locked up on L3200

If you were running PTO speed bush hogging when it pulled down and stopped. Its hard to believe it didn't spin a rod bearing at the least. I wouldn't want a tractor with two hundred hours on it to have a turned crank. I would want a complete new engine or just sell him the tractor for market...

    Woods 750 backhoe

I ran a home conversion three point backhoe on a JD 3010 tractor for years. Never had any issues with the tractor or backhoe. Sold it as a package and the last I knew it was still working. That being said I wouldn't put a three point backhoe on my MX6000. I don't think the tractors three point...

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

I have worked on a ton of stuff over the years and seen some crazy wiring but one of the best was when I started doing work on freeze drier's that would run a million dollars worth of product at a time usually for five to fourteen days and the master electrician had extension cords running 110...

    In market for budget welder

I have been welding and fab up things for well over fifty years. Learned on a Monkey Ward buzz box. If five hundred is your budget get that 220 plug in and pickup a old school used Miller or Lincoln AC-DC stick welder and you will be able to weld any thing. I never even had a mig welder until...

Great Bend 890 Front End Loader

Only thing I would suggest is looking on like tractor house or auction time or maybe big iron you might find some pictures on there. A fair amount of Great Bend loaders in KS and south of there.

    Lucky Timing or Dumb Luck

You will be glad you went with the quick attach bucket. I don't use the loader a lot on my MX6000 so I leave the bucket off to reduce weight when I am spot spraying. Just the other day I needed to load a pallet for a guy. Skid loader was at another farm fifteen miles away. I put the forks on the...

    Lucky Timing or Dumb Luck

I second this statement. I wouldn't have a loader on the farm without one on it.

bucking on a grapple - crazy talk?

I process around fifteen full cord a year of firewood and buck all of it with the grapple on my skid loader. Usually doing it with two guys one in the skid loader and one running the chain saw. I wouldn't buck firewood any other way.

    Shipping

Go over and join tractor.net. They have a version of a load board. I have had a couple pieces of equipment hauled by hot shot guys I found on there for way less than I could do it myself. You may have to figure out a way on your end to unload it as most of these hot shot guys don't have lifts.

    It was delivered last Friday...

MattinVA I farmed for years with a pair of JD 4840's I always kept the AC working in them. In my area they were a big horse of the time, most ran 4440's. As the planters got bigger and took more Hyd Capacity I got tired of running PTO pumps to make up the difference. Moved on up to the JD 8000...

    Upgrade compatibility for hydraulic pump?

Oktm I ran PTO pumps for years on planters to gain Hyd gallon cap. It was a great day on the farm when I got a tractor with enough GPM hyd to run the planter and the PTO pumps were gone. They worked good but they are a pain to deal with. Your tractor looks like its set up for a front mount...
