    L185 Restoration Questions

Here is the label for the #3 request on filter service. The part number shownon this is not available in the USA parts boks that I can find. This is from a thread by Service Department Vic (I think). Perhaps get it made a a printer or decal shop (on line)?? From memory some of the ones (#1...

    Wanting to lower ROPS

put a spring loaded stick (thinking like an antenna) at the front of the tractor that is a bit above your ROPS height and when it hits something you need to stop. Thats what I plan to do so I know if I can fit under tree limbs while mowing.

A little help with my "new" B7100DT

Here is the link to Big Kahunas post about his loader - I had a bit of trouble finding it since "219 rebuild" did not really work in the website search http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7795

A little help with my "new" B7100DT

Welcome. Yes those small items behind the manifold are the glow plugs in you picture. From your diagram it looks like the hydraulics return lines go directly back to the pump and do not dump into the reservoir. It would work (I think) but seems like it would overwork a small amount of fluid...

    L185 Restoration Questions

Here is a list of most (if not all) of the labels that go on the L185F. If you go to my photo album there is a picture of all of these labels.

using a forklift for something it wasn't designed for

You might want to look at the fork this guy built for his FEL to pick up debris (or thats what I think it is for anyway). Looks like it would work to pick up small limbs, brush and maybe rocks. Look at the pictures about half way down the posts...

    Older Fuel Cap

Good luck with it. I was surprised that Kubota still caried those parts but perhaps they used similar system for years. One other thing to avoid is draining all the fuel out of the tank - the lower connection point on mine is about an inch above the floor of the tank so there is not need to...

    L1500DT 4x4 System

I drained out the fluid on my l185F transmission using the 2 drain on the bottom and the 4 plugs on the axle cases (6 plugs total) I only put fluid into the main transmission fill port (on top of the case behind the gear change lever) after draining the rear axle case. I loosened the upper...

    Older Fuel Cap

Mine was also painted over when I bought my tractor (L185F). I bought a "fuel guage" for my L185F and it is simply a piece of clear tubing (34150-35470) and two clips (10013-41770). I looked at the parts list of the tank for your tractor model and did not see the same thing. Maybe I was...

    New to Me L1500DT

The ROPS for the L175 and L185 See the thread below for information on the kit I got from Kubota USA (SFL-27) and the part number that is the ROPS (see last post in the thread) I can not tell you for sure this would fit the L1500DT but am pretty sure it would. If you want me to take some...

    L185 transmission oil level plug

I loosened the upper plug on the rear axle case and fluid came out so I know that everything is OK. I had only put fluid into the main transmission fill port (on top of the case behind the gear change lever) after draining the rear axle case. The only way that fluid could be there is that it...

    ROPS installation L175 & L225

amaurymsa, I may have discovered what you can order! While it is true that what I recieved is the SFL-27 Kit the first part number is 35378-20000 and is the complete assembly. See the attached PDF of the parts list. Perhaps if you ask your dealer to look that up, perhaps he can find out what...

    ROPS installation L175 & L225

I found out about it on the Kubota (USA) website. See this website if you can get there: http://www.kubota.com/safety/RolloverProtectiveStructures.aspx On the USA website you have to dig to find the info. Go to bottom of the HOME page and there is a LEARN section that has a SAFETY section to...

    Newbie - '87 7200 or '02 7500??

Oh you might want to look at this thread - it shows a similar tractor paint job. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9197

    Newbie - '87 7200 or '02 7500??

one thing I did not see in your list was the radiator/anti-freeze. You will probably want to change it or at least verify that it has anti-freeze in it. I imagine from where you live that you would do this anyway.

    ROPS installation L175 & L225

See the thread that is posted below. From that thread the model number is SFL-27 for the L185 It seems that the same model ROPS is supposed to fit the L175, L185,... L245 series. I will verify this on the ROPS and/or instructions this weekend and let you know for sure...

    L185 transmission oil level plug

I will look into it and see whats going on. I thought I had read the WSM for the change procedure but will reveiw that and see what it says about that. I guess the first thing to do is to see if there is any fluid that would come out of the upper hole. It will be this weekend before I get to it.

    Rattle Can and Line-X

Thanks - that is perfectly clear. Looks great. I imagine the LineX on the foot boards helps with traction when it is wet.
