When you removed the loader did you reconnect the 2 hoses on the tractor side? Should be 3 hoses but only 2 will connect together if I remember right

Current model backhoe subframes are nothing like the older subframes. Trying to make one of those work on your tractor and also a 3 point backhoe would be a larger project than just building a subframe for the backhoe

They have a fuel shutoff solenoid that requires power to hold it open. As soon as it looses power i.e. turning the key switch the solenoid shuts off fuel flow. So while you definitely need to get a battery, once you do you'll want to check the charging circuit as well as I assume that's what was...
