    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    Right. You highlight why digging the stumps up was never a consideration of mine. My step dad has a tractor from another brand of similar size and power to my L2501, but he has a backhoe. Ive watched him dig stumps out on his place. It took forever, it created a mess, and just constantly putting...

    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    Really appreciate you taking the time to share all of this. I've also read through the other thread shared here. This is what I want to do. Backhoe is more money than I want to spend, and unless I ever find a much larger need for a backhoe I will never own one. Just having to put it on and off...

    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    Kind of a dumb question but just curious - when they deliver this, do they have a way to set the unit down on the ground themselves? Or will they be expecting me to have pallet forks to unload it? I dont have pallet forks for my tractor so just curious about this. What is the turn around like...

    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    When did you place your order B737? What's the backlog like, or have you already recieved yours? Would love to know more about your experience with woodland mills. Also - Ive seen the weight comparison come up, but I have noted as well that the wg24 lists 500 lbs as the shipping weight of the...

    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    Appreciate the points of input shelkol. You make some good points, and ones that have often come up with these pto grinders - mostly the lack of clear vision. I have spent some time watching videos of these grinders being used by folks, and I think its more a thing of getting the feel for it...

    PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

    Been thinking more and more seriously about maybe getting a stump grinder for my L2501. Ive spoke often on these forums about my ongoing yard expansion/ land clearing ive been doing on my 13 acre property. When I bought my house, the woods were about to swallow the yard space. The lady who lived...

    BX25D -> L2501?

    I would sell the BX tractor, unless you need mid mount pto for something. 2.5 acres....no need to have a BX and an L2501. The l2501 kinda makes a bx pointless imo, UNLESS, as said, you really need MM PTO for something.

    Weak Starting

    Even in the cold, this is a brand new tractor. You bought it brand new in November, then just a couple months later were already jumping it off to get it to start. I wouldn't expect to have to jump a new battery off that quickly. Did you check the battery voltage in that instance? I am leaning...

    Weak Starting

    I would do some poking around with a multimeter. What sort of voltage are you seeing at the starter for example? Being slow to turn over, and being more noticeable after sitting a while, really suggests to me its a drop in voltage/current along the line somewhere. Id see if I could poke around...

    B2320 won't start

    Yea start with the battery; Check it with a multimeter and see what sort of voltage your reading off the battery. You typically want that voltage to hover at or above 12.6v. If the tractor has been sitting for an extended period, it could read a little below that and still be ok. If you see...

    Looking at an L3301 with LA525 and 72" finish mower

    Yea you came out well on this deal for sure. Congrats. You should get a good chunk on the finish mower as well. put you at what like 7500 or 8000 to upgrade.

    Record for shortest LX3310 Ownership.....

    Going on the defensive like this is another red flag to me. You are trying to sell a tractor over the internet, and you get defensive for people raising an eyebrow at your story? You are going to need to be far more understanding of the times we live in. Scams are around every corner these days...

    Record for shortest LX3310 Ownership.....

    Yea I'm always skeptical of such stories. It could be legit, but It just doesn't pass the smell test for me. Too many illogical pieces to the story. Could be 100% legit but I would want to verify the legitimacy. Ask for the dealer purchased from and call that dealer for example. The LX3310 has...

    Something seems suspicious

    No, I suspect one person got it, reports suggest Hope Hicks may have been the first, and then it spread quickly to everyone in the vicinity. I imagine they have pretty tight testing protocols as well for everyone. My wife is a DON of a nursing facility. It went from 1 person to the whole...

    Looking at an L3301 with LA525 and 72" finish mower

    Yea that tractor looks better than my 2501 with 75hours on it lol. I think around 20k is a solid deal on this. That finish mower is what about $2500-$3000, so about $18,000 for the tractor. Thats not bad really.

    B2601 Treadle Pedal hard to use

    There should be a zerk yes, there is on the L2501. Get under the tractor and work the pedal and look at how everything is moving. Find the zerk, and grease it until you JUST start to see it squeeze out of little cracks in the area. The treddle peddle shouldn't require a lot of force to move. If...

    Tractor won't start after adding fuel

    I havent read all the replies, just a few of them. I think the OP though may have actually helped himself here by running the engine out of diesel before adding gasoline. If you ran the engine until it died from no diesel, then you likely pulled air into the fuel lines. This is very common. This...

    Check oil?

    Little sight glass in the floor board on the side of the hump, right near where your left foot would be when driving.

    BX25D -> L2501?

    I would 100% keep it. You got a good deal. If the tractor is really in just 22 hours of run time shape (meaning its practically brand new and hasn't been damaged in any way or mishandled) then you got a fantastic deal there at 21k. The backhoe is what really drives the price up. I spent about...
