    clutch replace l2350dt

Kubota might offer some splitting stands as a special tool. I'll have to look at my old literature to see if there is a price and/or if they're available or not. They were simple in design. Just a couple square plates, 2 of which were the tops, about 14" square, then the bottom plates, which...

    Rck60b23bx

I suck it out, but I bought an evacuator, or more specifically I built my own version of one using their parts before the metal ones were available. Takes about 15 seconds to suck the oil out. Turkey baster with a small piece of fuel line attached works pretty good too, but takes longer.

M7040HDC 50 hour hydralic oil change

Antifreeze breaks down over time, and heat cycling. This is exactly why you see some older cars and trucks developing "soft" and therefore leaky radiator hoses. The coolant gets acidic. You have an aluminum radiator and a cast iron engine. 2 dissimilar metals. What do we know about...

    D1005 vs D1105

Wolfman hit the nail on the head-and squarely. There are a ton of different versions of a particular main model of Kubota engine. For instance a D1005 is used on some refrigerator units, generators, pumps, lawn mowers, etc. And there will be more to the model numbers, like for instance...

    l39 warning light

For some reason the tractor "thinks" the mid pto is on. Need to find out why. Relay, wiring, etc? There's probably a wire underneath the tractor that's broken, shorted, open, etc.

    Front axle pivot MX4700

If you've got a good grease gun, sometimes greasing it will create enough hydraulic pressure to force it off.

Kubota M7060 with Cab - Fuel tank removal.

I'll be doing an M7060HDC tank in a week or so....if you guys aren't in a hurry, I'll try to make it a point to post the results.

    5410 front wheel noise

Sounds like hub bearing failing; or perhaps already failed. If it's just one, rebuild both of them. 10 times out of 9, if you do one, the other one fails shortly after.

    Questions about a Kubota L2800??

Yes the Grand valve is just that....a position control valve from a GRAND L tractor. I want to say L3130/3430 but may be wrong. The Grand L's had a much smoother 3ph lift, but that tractor also costs a LOT more. As said, the L2800/3400 and L4400 were budget minded full featured tractors but...

L3301 - fuel gauge showing zero

Even the sensor's a pain to get to on these. You have to remove the plastic part around the cluster, then then the sensor's underneath a metal support. It can be removed, however, if the need should arise. It looks worse than it really is.

    Questions about a Kubota L2800??

-The dual air filter was an option. I've never once seen it installed on an L2800, and I've seen a couple thousand of them. -It can be taken out of 4x4. The lever is a "tee" shaped lever just behind your left calf as you're sitting in the seat. Pull up for 4wd, push down for 2wd. -It has a...

Three Bond No. 1208d or equivalent?

Kubota also sells it but they have their own part number for it. IIRC, 70000-73763, or if you like gray color, 70000-73764. It'd be wise to double check those part numbers as I'm just shooting from the hip. Having used plenty of 1208, it's about the same as those two I listed. Actually I...

L3301 - fuel gauge showing zero

Are you trying to get the cluster out of the tractor or just trying to get TO it (and the wiring)? Actually it's a loaded question because the entire plastic part surrounding the cluster has to come off. Remove steering wheel, throttle grip, 2 screws on the sides near the fuel tank, bolt above...

    Bing Bang Pow!

I didn't read the replies, but I seen the picture....that plug you found that was out? I have one at the house right now (neighbor's tractor) and that plug-or one just like it-is out. Oil pressure is 3 psi hot at full throttle. It would run a while on 3 psi. But not forever. The plug that...

    Questions about a Kubota L2800??

The jumpy 3 point had an easy solution and a tough, expensive solution. The easy (and cheap) was to idle the engine back. It lifts a lot smoother that way. The expensive was to replace the position control valve. Yes seats weren't stellar but it's a tractor and not a Lincoln. But if you're...

    L35 won't move

Could be worn clutch. Not unheard of. Neither is a broken shuttle clutch. The snap ring tends to break out of the pack assembly and then-just as you've described it won't build any pressure and you're then dead in the water. You'll want to check the pressures before doing anything drastic...

DPF operating hints: calling all owners of new tractors

Also worth mentioning while on the subject of poor quality fuel is the use of poor quality fuel FILTERS. Specifically aftermarket fuel filters. Most of the ones that Kubota has tested do not meet Kubota specifications as far as how small they'll filter down to. Thus, use of an aftermarket...

Recommend me a new grease gun

I bought one at the Kubota dealer. Works great. Wasn't long after I got it that I was asked to do a general servicing on a guy's L48 TLB, yeah I'll do it. As you know, it's got like 50 fittings on it between the BH, the FEL, and everything else in between. Took me almost 45 minutes just to...

    G1900 front axle

Another.......and FINAL update! Done. Had the axle out of the tractor the other day. Today I took it over to a friend's place after trying to hammer on the remainder of the pivot, it would not budge with a 4 lb hammer. My friend has a 50 ton press, so it was either going to come out or it...

    Kubota LA 480 Loader problem

Should be 3 hoses from the loader to the tractor, not 2. Open center system. There would be a pump hose, a return hose and a power beyond hose.
