    starter cliks

When mine had the problem the tach used to jump wildly. Apparently the battery contact was intermittently working. Exactly what mine is doing. I have been searching for a good fix that doesn't involve a cable failure. Thanks

New to me 3 pt dirt scoop

$75 is a great price even for Arkansas.

New to me 3 pt dirt scoop

I had to switch the pins from pointing out to pointing in to work on my B8200. It worked great after that. You might have to have some front weight depending on what your carrying in the scoop.

2150 with turfs on back, switch to R4?

I would suggest using the tires you have till they no longer work for you. All you need is enough for your needs. But new "stuff" is always fun. Below is a link to an interesting discussion on the subject. http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=265652

    Steering slack

FIXED! I had failed to properly tighten the steering column:o. A couple of turns are all that was needed. I now have about 1.5" of slack. Thanks for all the advice and making me think.

    Steering slack

The unit is a new one so I don't think any ball bearings have come out. When I assembled the box I was able to see the gears of the sector shaft being engaged by the comp nut. Now that I think about it, the screw adjustment does not move the gears closer, it only moves the sector gear left or...

    Steering slack

I am wondering now if I should have bought a new sector shaft.

    Steering slack

I read the post on centering the steering gear to late. The following is what I did. With the pitman arm unattached, turn the front wheels full left. Rotate sector shaft so gears at the limit in the steering box for a left turn. Move nut on gear to uppermost travel. Engage first tooth of nut...

    Steering slack

Steering timing I put in a new ballnut and shaft my B8200. I can once again herd it from the drivers seat. But I have good bit (about 6-7 inches) of steering wheel play. I tried the adjusting screw on the end of the selector shaft with little effect. I don't mind it that much since I never...

    B8200 Speed Selector

There are 3 positions on the PTO selector. The center position is neutral. Pulling back will place it in the 540rpm position. Forward from neutral puts the PTO in the 748rpm position. You will want the 540 position for most attachments you will be using. I'm not sure of the high speed rpm...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Gosh, I guess I should just sell this horribly dangerous piece of equipment that can at any time can just flip over regardless of gravity. And those 10 acres of trees need to be clear cut anyway. Thanks for the advice

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cut off the ROPS on my B8200 today. Now I don't have to duck to avoid the recoiling branches and I can get into those places I could not without constantly watching the overhead clearance. Two days ago I replaced the steering gear. I am pleased with the outcome of both.

    Shifting obstruction

I have had this B8200 for a few years and have just worked around this thing (the rusty piece with two holes in the picture) to change ranges. My question is, do I need this thing?

    Hour meter

Thanks. I guess I should be glad the meter works.

    Hour meter

My B8200 hour meter shows 768 hours. It does not have a column for thousands. Is there any way to tell how many times it has rolled over? Judging from the condition of the tractor and the fact that it was previously owned by the Oklahoma Dept. of Tourism, my guess is that the total hours are...

L2250 front to rear weight ratio

Good thought. This is a "no extra" L2250. No weight added weight on or in the wheels, no loader, no cab just the standard oil and fuel weight.

L2250 front to rear weight ratio

I am going to take my L2250 for a 5 hour drive tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew the axle weights for this tractor. I know it isn't absolutely critical I put it on the trailer in just the exact spot, but I would like to be close.

    B8200 fuel filter abuse

Seeing a job like that puts mine in perspective. I can probably complete mine with a pair of pliers and a bucket.

    B8200 fuel filter abuse

Thanks for the advice Vic. I use a plastic fuel can so I guess the problem is probably in the tank. Of course I just filled it up. I'm glad its a small tank.
