henro, that's what happened with me, i reinstalled the old upper u-joint which is longer. what they gave me was the lower u-joint. every thing is back to normal. i want to thank all for you input on this matter.

i did lose the upper u-joint this winter, picked up new at ginop dealership. i found the old one this spring. i just assumed they were the same. i will check the old with the new in the morning.

i have lifted the front end with the and there little movement. the shaft only goes into the upper u-joint 3/4 inch. so where do i go from here?

i checked the lower u-joint, there are 2 pins. it has about 1/8 play, the shaft going into the front is tight. the shaft going back to transmission is also tight. the shaft only protrudes into upper u-joint about 3/4 inch. if the right side of the axel drops down the shaft falls right out which...

thank you for your reply and the parts break down the shaft coming from transmission has no end play. i will remove that plastic guard and verify that lower u-joint is in good shape.
