Hell, I've been missing him before he died. ☹

RIP Flip.

And yes, I was one of those that liked him.

Maybe OTT can grant him postmus pardon and reinstate his membership..
Unfortunately no one gets out alive. Unless of course you've accepted Jesus as your savior. And your next home is waiting.

Close 20 years ago my wife and I were passing through Michigan and we stopped at Flip‘s farm and spent the night in our van. We enjoyed his and wife Amy‘s hospitality and I remember going for breakfast at Bob Evans the next morning before we left. Later that year, or the next, he stopped at our place with his camper and spent a night at our place.

Flip sure left his mark here as well as over at TBN I’m sure… I’m certain people come across differently online than they do in real life…RIP Flip.

I’m not sure if he ever mentioned it here, but the nickname Flip came from his younger days riding motocross motorcycles…😀

Are you saying you knew Flip before OTT?

Well, it was 2005 actually, so I guess that could be before OTT. Knew him from TBN.

Only know this date because I by chance stumbled on some photos today, that turned up while cleaning up my shop, and they are time stamped 2005.

Guess that tells you how often I clean up my shop...

I was not a friend.

Called him bad names on OTT many times, and they were well-deserved (In my opinion).

Still sorry to see that he has passed.

He was important to a lot of people, and they will miss him greatly.

While not "friendly" on OTT; there was a time where he offered to machine a part and send it to me at no charge.

I thanked him for the offer. It was very generous.

I'm sure he was a great guy at heart.

Rest in peace....

It's telling that on both TBN and here his passing was noticed - not sure what that says. And yes he was hard on us little tractor owners but he often had interesting things to say.

I apparently / must have joined after this Martyr was banned….All I can say is it’s impressive for someone that would most likely be a good bit older than mYself, have such an impressive virtual presence after he has not been on this site for several years at least.

That’s an interesting data point for sure.

After seeing some of comments from some respected members I am not confident I am missing much, but I sure hope the individual got a chance to say what was important to loved ones, hopefully had some loved ones around while in good mind and spirit and was at peace at the end and someone performs the annual maintenance on his machines and keeps their orange spirt alive.

I never had an issue with him but knew him from other forums he got himself ejected from. I think he had a button some people's personalities triggered. Being an old & crusty myself, it's sad to hear of his passing.
