I noticed yesterday that the ball & sockets on my lift arms are worn out. Functionally I never noticed anything wrong when using it, but they are so worn that the main body of the arms are contacting the housing and have worn some of the metal away, so can't ignore it.

Does anyone replace these ball & socket assemblies, or is it a matter of getting new arms? I can see it'd be a PITA to replace them but it could be done with some effort.

Is ball/socket even the right term?

Is that a new end with the B&S in it that's butt-welded to the old bar?

WHat are they called if I'm looking to order it?

FYI....
BEFORE you 'cut and weld'.... measure the 'eye to eye' dimension ! While not 'mission critical', always best to weld new ones on as close as possible. Not all 'ends' are the same length.......
