That's the one my dealer recommended as being the best match also.
"Despite the fact that the name of the series is Funny Top, which is like the most Chinesium sounding thing I've ever heard, it's an Italian company".
I have a lot of respect for Neal Messick based on his videos and one phone conversation, but I don't agree with every point that he makes in the video. I have a flail, a rotary cutter and a folding rotary cutter, and the flail with hammer blades and enough PTO hp will demolish thick, woody brush with relative ease. Nothing that home owners typically use will cut the piece of wood that he picked up and managed to jam between the drum and shield. For the record, I have a lot of hours running a flail and only once jammed up the drum and that was cutting some thick, woody tall stuff that wrapped around the drum near the bearing, almost like wire. I've run over all manner of large stuff like logs and tree stumps, and other than the front bar that the guards swing on getting bent (now modified to prevent that), everything has exited the flail.
No one cutting system is perfect, but I would part with the Land Pride RCR1884 before the Del Morino flail or Land Pride RC3712 folding cutter. In fact, I didn't use the RCR1884 this past summer.
