LOL... I was thinking the same thing. When young I was often waiting for something I really needed! Actually rather than waiting, I took an active approach...When I saw the topic I was going to say ,"After you get married that kinda stops." I see it is now about a package, and that happens all the time.
I do not believe that there is an IQ test for delivery drivers.I placed an order on Amazon for several items. Impatiently waiting days later, I got a UPS text notification stating it was delivered. I looked inside and all around our drive gate, and nothing. Then I got notification by email for the same delivery. The email had an image of the package, inside the gate. Not our gate, but our neighbors. I went and reached over their gate and snatched
Apparently the driver didn't know how to actually use a GPS, let alone read the address (6" numbers) on OUR fence that's worked for our deliveries over a 24 year term.
Yep. Ordered a part for a deer feeder from a large chain store. The store nearest me (40 miles away) showed they had one. Figured it would be here in a couple of days.I had a small part for the dishwasher shipped by FedEx smart ship.
It departed Ohio, the slowly progressed to Jackson Mississippi.
Then it took a vacation to Tampa FL
Spent a week living it up in Tampa.
Worked it's way back to jackson Mississippi. Then finally to Little Rock, then the local mail office and to my doorstep.
By this point we had gotten thoroughly frustrated and purchased a new dishwasher

FedEx was the company that sent my part on a florida vacation. Once USPS got it, they had it to my house the next dayThat is called
"FedEx smart post"
The USPS is the primary provider...
Need I say more?
FedEx operates the same way Amazon does, none of the delivery people work for FedEx, they are all 3rd party contractors. If you look on the side of the trucks they all will say operated by XYZ logistics, or something another.FedEx was the company that sent my part on a florida vacation. I think what you are referring to is actually only the FedEx Ground operation.FedEx operates the same way Amazon does, none of the delivery people work for FedEx, they are all 3rd party contractors. We actually have a friend who drives a FedEx truck for overnight deliveries. He works for FedEx and is not a contractor.FedEx operates the same way Amazon does, none of the delivery people work for FedEx, they are all 3rd party contractors. I believe you will find that FedEx overnight delivery, is all done by mother FedEx employees.
