HST mount broken bx22d

Took 2 days for me to take this thing apart.

After taking the HST out, the mount just dropped. I put the mount (M8 thread it seems) back in to show its original position.

It does look like just corrosion creep in the small crack overtime and propagates.

Hello everyone
I am the new owner of a used bx22d.
Recently I have a leak that worsened over time. I decided to pull the transaxle and found out that one of the HST mount was broken off (left side as indicated with the yellow arrow in the picture below.

My question is:
would jbweld be sufficient?
If not, how difficult is it to pull the case off?
If this is not a DIY job, what's the estimate cost to repair this?

By the Pic it seems like maybe you could jb weld that but then you have to ask yourself why did it break there. That front case cover is a very expensive piece. It's a DIY if your mechanically inclined but is very labor intensive to get the transmission out. If you decide to replace that front cover I have a couple of them from bx1800 and bx2230 which are the same that I'm parting out.

I spend the whole day today with your advice. Finally that HST came out. I had to remove the lever arm above it (seize and rusted with the roller pin) to finally had room to wiggle it out.
I am not sure how it was broken like that. Looks like the previous owner did some jb-weld in the area. My best guess is overtorque. Whats your thought? I will take some picture later as update.

And the cover is the same? I didn't know!
How much are you selling it for?

Interesting. I haven't seen one that bad and not in that area. You could be right just overtorque but who knows.
