Hello, I have a 94 L2900 (first tractor and no experience) machine has been great but last couple days it wouldn’t start with the clutch engaged then it stopped starting at all. I did the tap the starter trick and that got it started so I figured the starter was bed. I replaced the starter and nothing. Lights, blinkers, and dash lights still work. I’m not seeing a clutch safety switch, or seat switch, the rear pto switch seems to be fine. Any other ideas? There isn’t a lot to this machine but like I said I’m new to these things. Thanks.

There is a switch on the shuttle lever.
That's probably your issue.
Read and follow the the WSM!
Check your PM's, envelop top right.

X2 on the shuttle lever safety switch. When mine was going out, you'd have to push down on the shuttle when it's in neutral to get it to start. The way they designed the connector, you can bypass it temporarly, or in my case permanently.

That was it! Sprayed with some contact cleaner and she fired right up. I’ll replace that and hopefully be good. Much appreciated. Thanks!
