My BX2230 will not shut off with the key or any of the safety devices (seat switch ... etc)
Looking for suggestion of where to start to trouble shoot.

This happened a few days ago and I had to disconnect the fuel line to get it to shut off

Check the stop solenoid and fuses.

FYI: You don't need to remove a fuel line to get it to stop you just needed to pull the rod on the stop solenoid.
If you have sucked air into the fuel system you might have to bleed the injectors to get it to start again.

Can that solenoid fail internally such that pulling the rod out will not stop the fuel flow?
I guess it could if it melted internally and seized up, not a very common thing.

Found the Stop Solenoid. Turns out that it is part of the problem. There was no voltage going to it. So the issue appears to be the timer/relay. I'll know for sure once the new part comes in

If you remove the connector at the timer relay you can test power going to the relay, there will be constant 12v, switched 12v, ground and the other pin is the one that goes to the solenoid, so between that one and the connector at the solenoid you can make sure there is continuity.

If these check out then it’s 100% the relay that’s faulty. Also, you can quickly bench test the solenoid, the bracket on the solenoid is ground so earth that and apply voltage to the pin and it should work as it should.
