Hydraulic leak

While snowplowing today I noticed that my blower was dropping to the ground without any action on my part. After investigating I found out that I have a hydraulic connection leaking (see attached picture). It is the bottom yellow connections. I relieved pressure, disconnected the connector, and reconnected it again ensuring that it snapped in and does not come off. I tried lifting the blower again and it still shoots out hydraulic fluid.

Can anybody help me identify the issue? I presume that the connector (male or female I have no idea) somehow is damaged although I am not sure what I did to damage it. Do these connectors just lose their ability to seal for some reason?

Do I need to replace both fittings? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Just HAD to be the LOWER connection, of course.....
Almost looks like the 'quick connect' connection isn't engaging all the way , though I'm surprised it's leaking. Usually they just 'pop out'(well air line ones here do....)

I'd remove the others and refit the bottom one,then the rest... .You 'might' be able to feel a difference ?? The ring that slide.... be sure it goes all the way forward, towards the connection. Maybe it's being held back a little ??

There is an o ring in the female. Check to see if it is out of place or nicked.

Yes you can replace the O-ring.
Here in lies the issue, you'll need to pull a O-ring out of one of the other couplers to match as they don't list that part.

hmm, maybe just buy another coupling ??

The 64,000 question is WHERE did the original O-ring go ??
Do they always fall out onto the ground or could it be 'somewhere' in the hydraulics system ??

Is the o ring actually missing or is out of the seat.
If is still there, you can work it back in place.


You can just replace the o ring.

Or…you can just replace the coupler entirely.

You could buy a new coupler, then remove the new "o" ring and measure it. Then you can get the correct part and have a spare.
