Fuel filter stuck

I’m doing the 400 hr service on my L3301 and I can get the fuel filter to break loose. applying pressure with a filter wrench is twisting the mount, I’m afraid I’ll break it. Any advice?

I just use channel locks adjusted large. Be sure you're only on the metal ring.

in your post - you say "I can get the fuel filter to break loose" - you mean CANNOT or CAN'T - which we get, cause we all have left something out when thinking to writing the post.

DO as Ralph said. hold one place pressure on the other
