I have my hydraulic pump off, what is the best and safest way to remove old seal?

i don’t see how that tool would work for this because there’s no key way or any space for that slip behind the seal, I’ll try the drill and screws, thx

Got it out by drilling and installing two screws and used my slide hammer and eased it right out. After reinstalling the pump I changed the oil and upon driving around my drive it kept losing power in high range, to keep it pulling I had to drop to the low side(of Med) , I did let the tractor sit and run for a good ten minutes before I moved it. Did I miss something? This thing is driving me nuts!

Operate any hydraulic device, FEL, steering, three point.
How does all of that work?
Move the three point to a middle position!
I'm betting the three point is dead heading the hydraulic pump.
Thus now that it's building pressure (not leaking by the seal) its bogging down the hydro too.
Issue could also be in the FEL spool valve, block control, or add on valves.

I do know I have the three point all the way up because I put the backhoe back on, I will check that tomorrow, thx

Very well could be that or, you have something else in the hydraulic loop making it dead head and causing it to go into relief.

I have one other lever on the outside of the three point lever, I think it could possibly be for maybe a thumb for the backhoe, there are two lines run to the rear of the tractor with quick couplings, I don’t have a thumb so these are used. Where should this lever be positioned?

Those are aux spool valves, they should spring to the middle.

No I don’t think this one is spring loaded, it operates like the three point, should place it in the middle?
Oh probably the draft lever / valve, yea move it to the middle too, just to make sure it's not also causing the issue.
Normally it's just the three point lever that's doing it.

You do the same.
Another thing to note, that on some models with a BH there is a valve that you move to make the BH hydraulic connect or disconnect, make sure its in the proper position.

OK this morning I went out and she started and ran just fine, adjusted the levers as you suggested (I was wrong about the other lever, it is spring loaded) it did seem to be better but wouldn’t get over 2000, I stopped and under no load revved to 2500 with no problem. I can run the backhoe with no issues. ????

Ya I think you could run the BH, it's just going to put hours on it to see if you've cured the rising oil level issue.

Just came in been on the tractor about two hours using BH and FEL and have not any issues, and now it does seem to be running a lot better. Seems to be pulling better and only bogs in mid range high when pulling a grade, but dropping to low it picks back up. Of course this has been an issue since service. I haven’t run it long enough to check oil levels yet.
