Won't start. What compression tester do I use? My automotive one won't work. The air cleaner isn't connected.
You need to get a diesel compression tester and if your compression is less than about 350 psig, you'll need to find out why. Valve adjustment, burned valve(s), bad rings, burned piston crown, blown head gasket, etcWon't start. What compression tester do I use? My automotive one won't work. The air cleaner isn't connected.

Russell, I think you got your words out of order.Supposedly Harbor Freight has a gauge set that works with an adapter for the glow plug hole or the injector holes.
Your statement supposes the gauge will work but Harbor Freight has it.Russell, I think you got your words out of order.
