Hello,
I recently switch from a 7060 with rops to a M5 with a cab. I like the new cab a lot and it was about time that I step in from bugs and dust. My question is, did anybody installed a remote control for 3 point hitch from outside on the fender on an M5 ? I see that Kubota offer one on the M6 but not an option on the smaller M5.
On the 7060 open station was much easier to reach the lever over the fender when I try to hook an implement but on the M5 is a little bit more hassle.

I was thinking that maybe I can make a small hole in the back panel few inches bellow the window, put a rubber grommet or sleve and run a rod from out back to the main lever.
Any suggestionis greatly appreciated.
Here is a pic of the new big boy.

That is some serious weights in the back. How much per wheel ?
The rear wheel weights are 164# each and there are 3 per wheel plus I have the cast iron wheel centers. For summer time use I add the heavy front weight bracket and 4 100# weights, that helps smooth out road ride with my Land Pride RC3712 rotary cutter, I believe it has a 1200# tongue weight.

I have a new M4 and bought the external 3pt remote. It is super simple and pushes on the linkage lever to lower and raise the 3pt. I dont know the configuration differences between M4 and M5, but the controller looks pretty generic. It's $100 so maybe buy one and give it a look before installing. If it doesnt fit, return it. All that said, it doesnt work super well. It has a weird cage around it that makes it really hard to turn the knob to operate. Great concept, sketchy execution....

Get a quick hitch and hyd top cylinder Then there‘s no reason to get out of the cab for most things unless it’s to hook up the pto.

I do have one but it doesn’t work with the DelMorino flail mower and an older land plane that I have.
I contacted the dealer and he told me that he can get me something for about $150 I will see when it gets here.
Thank you

Let us know how it works out. May have to add one just because I can. 😏

Still waiting for the weights When they come, I will have the dealer install both in the same time.
Yes is a factory sold M611 I believe was built by Bradco
I had that on the M7060 and unfortunately I am stuck with. When I replaced the tractor I just had to buy the frame only. For how much work I am doing with is ok but I had problems with the valve controls from start. Leaking and took them three months to get a replacement from Japan. Is moving about 16” of play from side to side when the boom is extended more then 8’ in front of me. I tried the dealer and he can not do much. Hydraulic thumb is crashing is own pipe to the cylinder and few more things with the stabilizer legs.
The BH 92 that I had on the Mx5200 was perfect and I was expecting the same. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I leave the 240 Lb. cast front weight bracket on my M9960 year around. Cannot think of any good reason to remove it.

Maybe not.

It's likely a Whole Goods item. If so, your dealer may well not allow returns.

Same here. I leave the weight bracket on all year. I have 10 weights and use them when I plow, spray, or plant. Most of the time my loader is on though so the weights come off. IMHO, the tractor feels best (most balanced and nimble) with the rear tires filled and all 10 weights on the front. Love being able to move my combine heads around in the barn without having to fire up the combine though so the loader is on much of the year.

I have the same or similar weights on my M6060. I started out with two per side but ordered another set a couple of weeks ago.

I have my wheels set up at the widest setting which results in more space for the weights and they won't stick out as much as you show.
