Using my new LX3310 with the FEL and box blade to grade some dirt. Saw the regen light flashing tonight and it ran through the first regen. Kept the RPM up and kept working. Could smell the filter burning during the process that took about 15 minutes and then the light went off. Wondering if I am babying the RPMs too much with the new machine and should just work it harder?

Regens are like babies, the first one comes anytime but from then they take longer!

That, and you don't know how much idling it was doing at your dealer before you took delivery.

I'd also guess you're babying it too much. My view is that tractors are made to run at PTO revs, and if you're using a PTO implement you have to run it at PTO revs. If you run it there, not so much regen.

Having said that, many on here insist that tractors need a break in period. I haven't quite worked out how you are supposed to use PTO driven implements during that time.

It’s probably going to be artificial to keep the RPMs up high enough doing loader work. Well, at least I usually don’t run high RPMs when I am.

You can either keep the RPMs high or have a regen. As others have noted, regens are a function of how hard the tractor is working with lower RPMs and lower temperatures causing more regens. It shouldn’t be an issue if the regens always complete.

I just had a regen on my Lx3310 at 13.8 hours. It took me by surprise as I normally just run full bore. I just kept working as you and about 15 minutes the light was out.

I have 50 hours on my LX3310, pretty much all hours at full throttle mowing with a 72” mmm. I have not seen the Regen light come on. Yesterday I noticed black carbon accumulation on the left side of the mower deck on on the front tire and rims.
I assume this is from the regeneration? Has anyone else seen this while working the tractor. Thanks

You havent seen one because you are running it hot enough that you aren’t accumulating any soot in the DPF.

The lower you run the rpm overall, the more often it will regen. What I do is split the difference. I run M62 at about 2000 most of the time If I dont need PTO rpm. I am getting a regen every 50 Or so hours. The M7060 is mowing most of the time at PTO rpm, I don’t think I have noticed one at all.
