Hi all. I just bought an LX3310, Added 3rd function and a 64 inch commercial snow blower. My salesmen is now telling me that the blower does not come with the hydraulic chute and I must purchase it. After I agreed he called back and said all he can get is electric. I watched many of GP outdoors videos and clearly he has a Hydraulic chute that hooks to the 3rd function port after removal of FEL.
What am I or my salesman missing.

Ok now he is telling me that I can’t use the 3rd function switch. They have to use another switch for a diversion valve and the hoses connect to a diversion box mounted to the blower.
Why can’t the2hoses connect to the 3rd function block directly to where you un hook the 3rd function from the FEL. He is telling me no can’t be that way. Is not the 3rd function just an in and out that should work with any Hydraulic ram?

I’m sure all loaders are a bit different, but, the one I have, the third function is activated by a diverter on the loader itself. It takes away the curl function so there are no ‘extra’ hoses to use with the loader removed.
so you not have rear remotes?
Is this a 3pt hitch snowblower?

No sir it is front mount just like GP Outdoors videos. He appears to be using the 3rd function block to hook up chute hoses. The diverter they want to use will switch between the chute rotation and chute up and down. It just seems f’d up to have to add a second switch to the joy stick.
WTH is the 3rd function for if not to in and out a hydraulic ram?

Read this following OTT thread about this same situation but on a 55" commercial blower: THREAD CLICK HERE . He explains what is and isn't needed from the "hydraulic chute deflector kit" if you want to operate it from the third function valve vice the "kits" electric diverter valve.

Yes I saw this and my dealer can’t understand what I WANT. He told me that’s for a different snowblower. Arrrrg, He is insisting that I need to have an EXTRA (as I see it) switch installed on the stick. And that what I want is or must be aftermarket. I really don’t care if it is. In fact if after tomorrow he tells me the same thing I will have to go to a hydraulic shop and have them get just the ram and hoses. And tell the dealer I will install the aftermarket stuff myself.
I am going to the dealer tomorrow to show them that it will work without all the other BS.
I can’t believe the service department don’t know or tell him this.
Am I correct that the third function switch also has an electronic diverter at the 3rd function block?

Thanks for verification of the way it should be done.

I did go to Dealer this morning and asked if the kit was in. He said already installed on the blower. Told him take it off and paint the holes so they don’t rust.
I said can you get just the ram and this bracket and make longer hoses to reach the 3rd function block. He said he thinks so.. OMG, Why could he not understand that is all I want.

Thanks for everything

Because your salesman is about as dumb as the rocks that you put into the loader bucket. When I ordered my Ford Explorer, the salesman told me that a block heater wasn't available, because the car was being delivered in Mass. If the same car was delivered in Minnesota then the block heater came as a standard no cost item. I was willing to buy it from the parts dealer if they would install it before I took delivery of the car. Salesman claimed that it would void the warranty. I got up and started walking out, after I took the contract from his desk, and tore it in half, when the owner of the dealership stopped me and asked why I was walking away from the deal. I explained to him what had happened, and he went in to speak to the salesman. Came back out, and said the block heater would be installed at no charge. I have come to the conclusion that the people selling tractors and cars, couldn't give away an ice cream cone in 100 degree weather to people on the beach baking in the sun. Incompetency at its finest
