I am wondering about the rpm range on the 2601.. Full rpm range is, well I dont know what it is for sure, but it wont go past the mark for the PTO on the dial. Im wondering because the BX 2360 seems to spool up a lot faster and higher, at least sound wise, and doesnt seem to lug down on inclines.

Skeets, the sweet spot on mine is 2200 rpm, has never bogged down using loader for digging, rock hauling and using the 60” mid mount mower cutting 12” high grass. I can’t comment about the pto don’t use it much. Even though we both have b2601 I suppose every machine is a little different in its operation capacity?
I run my B2910 full out only if I am using the brush hog, which I rarely use these days.
For almost everything I run about 2000 RPM or less. No need for more. Maybe 2200 if I am in a hurry, but that is rare.
If you are curious, after normal break in, you should be fine just running it up to max and seeing what that is...That is what I would do if I were curious.
I run my BX2200 at full throttle when cutting grass, which is its main function, and have no clue what the RPM might be. No tachometer...
I mow at about 2500 and maybe a little less for anything else. I’ve mowed before at 2200 and it was ok, but went to slow for me.
