BT650 Outrigger replacements?

Having hard time finding a replacement for BT650 Backhoe outriggers. Local dealer said Kubota no longer stocks them,.....must be a compatible make somewhere. Tried welding, but to soft to last very long. Been to many "parts sites", and on waiting lists....don't really care what color it is if they work...thanks

Could you be more specific as to what you are looking for. The Cylinders, or the outrigger foot? I just went to www.messicks.com and they have pricing on all the component parts of the outrigger. Possibly you need to find another dealer that is more helpful, like Messicks. I will admit that some of the prices for the parts are enough to scare even Casper the ghost, but it appears that they are available. Have you taken the broken part to a professional welding shop for repairs, or are you attempting to weld this yourself?

Thank you for your reply.....the outrigger/stabilizer leg, not the cylinder, or the foot/pad. The metal on the leg was wasted, bent, and broke in half while trying to pry up oak roots. I 'm wondering how close the three pivot /mounting holes have to match with the cylinder, ...probably going to slide the two halves into a channel, and weld. would much rather have something ready made, even a different brand.

I doubt you will find another brand that will fit. I would look for a shop that does fabrication, and have them either repair it, or make another. I can weld, but I know that I can't weld as good as a person that is a professional welder, that know a whole lot more about how to weld 2 pieces together, so they stay together. When I have a problem that is beyond my capabilities I go to the professionals.

Outrigger legs are not that critical, say as compared to loader arms. So I think you should be able to make a workable repair.

But curious how you damage them trying to pry up roots. Do you use the outrigger as a lever somehow under the root? With the outrigger cylinder being the power source for the prying force?

My backhoe on the B2910 seems to run out of power well before I would expect any damage to occur to stabilizer arms when digging stumps and trying to break roots.

Take it to a competent welder/fabricator and should be able to make one for you using the parts that are salvageable and some square tube.

Right, will probably have to do that, pull off the other one for a "template"... after I placed the ordered for the outrigger from messicks, they messaged that they did not have the part, and probably wont any time soon. thanks

The backhoe has some muscle to it,....and I should have known better. It was the third stump, the end of the day, and maybe beer was involved. Usually I let the stumps and roots sit for a season or two, but I was being stubborn, the root stubborner.....I will probably have to have it welded...thanks

Thanks, probably will have to....can't find anything anywhere, new or used.....I keep eyeing one I see down the road in the next town, next to his barn, but he'd probably notice it missing...and he has dogs
