Raising and lowering belly mower B3200

I just purchased a new to me but used 2012 B3200 and can’t figure out how to raise and lower the belly mower? Is it because the backhoe attachment is on? What lever would do it? The “hydraulic control lever” seems to bind up the pump when I pull back on it so I didn’t do that to much.

The mower should be pinned up at the front af the deck. The deck is raised and lowered by the 3pt control. If I am thinking correct your lift arms are removed when the backhoe is on if this is correct then you can’t unpin the mower the lift arms are used to raise the mower.

As previously mentioned, the MMM (at least on my B2650) is lifted and lowered by arms, rods and links that work off the three point hitch lift arms. In theory, because the mower is the "ground following" type of deck, you could unpin the deck, let it drop all the way down to ride on the ground, and mow. Not very practical ........................and do not know if that is really possible.

My MMM has not been used except to make sure that it works. A ground following MMM is great for big flat spaces, but doesn't work well on uneven ground with lots of landscaping. My deck came with the tractor, so I stored it for the time when I will sell the tractor, or have something different to mow. In the meantime, my old JD 318 still does the grass cutting chores. I have attached a pic of the arms that go on the three point to move the deck.

Thanks. So with the backhoe on is there any way to raise the deck. The 090 in that diagram sits on the lift arms. Can I put lift arms on with backhoe on?

That is a good question, and I will have to defer to someone with more knowledge on the particular subject. I do not have a backhoe. But.................................in looking at your pictures, it looks as if part numbers 090 and 100 are in place. Each one of those parts has a small "return" that sits on on of the lower link arms, and moves up and down with the lower link arms. From your pictures, it looks like the movement of parts NO. 090 and 100 are blocked so as not to move. Or.................................................after looking again, maybe 090 and 100 are not in place. Let's see what someone who knows says.

Good luck with it. Sorry that I don't have a better answer for you, but I am sure that someone else will. By the way, the notes I added on the diagram/pic are for me, or the next owner. I put a copy in the box in which I stored the parts.

Thanks. No worries. Ill just have to put on the deck, cut the grass, and remove it each time. Thabkfully the deck sets the height with the wheels, and I don't have that much grass. My concern about not being able to raise it was more about going over obstacles. I wont use the loader or BH with the mower on.

You New Zeeland lads must have a lot of stamina! Putting the deck on and off is a chore! Not mowing the Rugby pitch are you? It seems to be the most open space in your town (if that is the big green thing in the middle of town that shows up on Google Earth).

Could you use the following process on these tractors?

Back hoe off, three point arms on, mower on, adjust height and mow grass.
Then put mower into highest position or stowed position on tractor and pinned in place, remove 3 point arms then put the back hoe on tractor and use it until the mower is needed again.

Might be a good idea to raise or remove the mower wheels when not using the mower if that is possible.

This is exactly why my 60" MMM is neatly stored on a wall bracket in the shop. It is a complete PITA to install. I use my tractor primarily for back hoe work so I bought a 60" zero turn mower for cutting my six acres of grass. Works great except for the abuse my back takes. I remove the hoe occasionally for bush hogging etc.
I could easily make up a couple of shorter arms to raise and lower the mower when the BH is attached but due to the misery encountered putting it off and on again , I gave up on the idea.
