low pressure at front loader

I have a KUBOTA MX5000, and a Bush Hog front loader. As of late, the loader will hardly move up any, unless the 3 point hitch lever is in the topmost position. When it is alL the way up, the loader operates correctly, but seems to be quite a strain on the hydraulics. I haven't a clue as to what could be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there are quick couplers in the hoses to the loader, open and then re--seat each of them.

How many hoses connect to the loader valve..... 6 or 7?

Any hydraulic hoses replaced lately?

Has the loader been removed and reinstalled which could have resulted in a hose being connected in the wrong place....i.e. hoses swapped?

I'LL HAVE TO CHECK ON THE NUMBER OF HOSES CONNECTED. THEY ARE NOT QUICK CONNECTS ON THE LOADER CONTROL. ONE HOSE HAS BEEN REPLACED LATELY, BUT THE PROBLEM STARTED LONG BEFORE THE HOSE BURST. I HAVE CHECKED THE LEVEL OF HYDRAULIC OIL , IT IS FULL. I DO HAVE MORE LEAKS THAN I HAD BEFORE THOUGH. (in the front loader hoses that is). I'LL CHECK THE # OF HOSES AFTER THE SUN COMES UP. THANKS A MILLION FOR THE TIPS.. JAMEST1042 P.S. NO DISCONNECTS OF HOSES . (EXCEPT FOR THE ONE BEING REPLACED.)

so if there's a leak, get it FIXED.

A good example is given. Absolutely leaks are not good I agree with that. If there is a leak, the problem should be resolved as soon as possible.

If you have any of the manual instructions that came with the loader showing how it was to be connected into the tractor system that info would be helpful.

What is the loader model #?

You say the issue started long before the single hose replacement, can you provide more details as it sure sounds like a hose in the wrong place.

only "one" hose has been disconnected from the lift since the tractor was new. so, i know for a fact it ain't hoses crossed. i have ordered new seals for the rams, but am not gonna take anything loose until i have the seals to replace first.

the model number on the loader is Bush Hog M300

Because you report an involvement with the 3 pt lift it is most unlikely cylinder seals are the problem.

I think you have a directional valve on the hydraulic block where the backhoe hoses connect. If it's open, your 3pt has to deadhead before the loader gets any pressure. Check your manual and attach pictures of your hydraulic block and the loader valve hose area.

I just breezed through this whole thread, so forgive me if I missed something.

I think your issue is a feedback linkage adjustment issue, if it's not adjusted right the valve will not go into neutral and give power to the loader hydraulics.

I KNOW THE SEALS DON'T PLAY A PART OF THE PROBLEM. BUT, I AM CONSIDERING THAT ONE OF THE HOSES MAY HAVE A FLAPPER IN IT. I KNOW WHEN AT TIMES WE HAD TROUBLE WITH OUR 18 WHEELERS, SOME TIMES A FUEL LINE WOULD GET A FLAPPER AND SHUT DOWN A FUEL LINE WHEN IT GOT ENOUGH PRESSURE ON IT. ( I HAVE BEEN A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC SINCE I WAS A VERY YOUNG BOY). I HAVE SEEN A LOT, BUT NEVER HAD ONE STUMP ME AS THIS ONE HAS, WITHOUT PULLING EVERY HOSE OFF, AND FEELING IT OUT.

The parts break down for that loader does show quick couplers at the control valve.
You could check the power beyond plug and make sure the seal is not compromised.

AT THE PRESENT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET OUT TO CHECK ANY FURTHER INTO THE ISSUE. (I WENT THRU THE COVID THING IN THE HOSPITAL.) I CAN SAY, I REPLACED THE HYDRAULIC OIL FILTER, AND OF COURSE ADDED OIL TO THE FULL "AFTER " THE HOSE BREAK. A GOOD WHILE BEFORE THE HOSE INCIDENT, I WENT TO PUT OUT SOME HAY, AND AS USUAL, STARTED THE TRACTOR, LET IT WARM UP, AND STARTED TO RAISE THE LOADER, BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. I THROTTLED IT UP A BIT, AND STILL VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT. PULLED THE SPEED UP A LOT, AND FINALLY IT STARTED TO MOVE, BUT WHEN I RAISED THE MOWER DECK TO FULL LIFT, IT STARTED TO MOVE AS USUAL. THAT WAS QUITE A WHILE BEFORE THE HOSE BREAK. I'M KINDA STUMPED....

i don't know whether or not it's still here. if it is i'll have to get my wife to find it. she puts anything away the is bothersome to her. and i guess i'll use lower case letters from now on, i don't want anyone to get upset at me about it. thanks i'm not very p.c. as they say.
