Attempting to add two led accent lights that will trigger with the dome light, attempted to tie to door switch however that will work backwards, on when door closes and off when open, I suppose my next option is the dome light itself, I do not want to pull down the complete headliner to do so, seems to be quite a job, is there a way to access the dome light without dropping headliner? Or any other way I am overlooking to tie to door switch? Thanks!

I haven't been into the dome light on mine, but I did add flashing LED warning lights that are mounted on the sides of the plastic roof. On my 40 series, the access was by removing the roof rather than dropping the liner. (BTW, Kubota calls the dome light a "Room Light")
You didn't mention the type of lights or where you plan to mount them. If you're adding something that presses into a cut hole in the ceiling you may be able to fish between the dome light and the desired location. There's a lot going on between the liner and roof, so you should probably remove the roof to look before cutting holes.
If they will be under the dash, you may be able to slip wires down one of the roof pillars.
The roof is lightweight but bulky to handle. I'd recommend a second person and two ladders.
Pretty sure the dome light is held by a couple screws that you'll see behind the plastic lens. Mine has three modes that are selected by sliding the lens - ON, OFF and AUTO (operated via door switches).

DO NOT, I repeat do not attempt to remove the headliner. remove the roof. Kubota secures many components to the headliner and not with insert nuts either so removal of the headliner will cause you untold grief and will necessitate roof removal anyway to access the fasteners that have come off the screws you removed (been there and did that so I know). Roof is easy. In fact, every other Phillips head screw is a roof screw and easy to tell, the roof screws are much longer than the headliner screws so if the first one you take out is short, put it back in and go to the next one (either direction) and that will be a roof screw and then all around every other one to remove the roof. Light but bulky and like stated above, really a 2 person job and don't damage it. You don't want to know what a replacement costs. Instead of adding accent lights, why not change the filament light in the dome light to an LED Festoon bulb if you want more light?
Great information, on the roof removal is there any sealant or gaskets that may need to be redone after reinstall? That sounds way easier than the headliner, just want to be sure it doesn't leak after reinstall. My plan afterwards will be simply run my two 18 gauge wires down the cab metal post, under the mat and ultimately place two very small 24 lumen leds under the dash to illuminate the floorboard area. Perfect, so the roof screws are inside the cab going up, if that's the case that's super easy. Been looking for a good led replacement for the dome bulb as well, seen some discussion good and bad here, recommendations?
Already stated that, 'Festoon LED'. You need to remove the existing bulb and measure it's length and then refer to the Superbright LED website for the correct one. they come in different lengths. never had the need for additional lighting inside, the LED light gives off plenty for my needs.

Mine was lift off and back on without any drama. I don't recall any sealing although there may be a permanently-attached foam gasket or something.
There is, it's glued to the recess in the perimeter of the roof. Just replaced mine....$90 clams at my dealer.
I think you should be able to use a relay to ‘switch’ the switch around so it’ll work the way you want?
You do need to keep an eye on it as the unit ages. Mine was cracked, brittle and flaking apart so I replaced it (2004 M9). Not hard to replace other than removing the old adhesive. I used a sharpened putty knife to peel the old gasket and adhesive off, wiped the channel with acetone and stuck on the new one. It comes a little long, so trimming is required. I thought about getting a roll of that Weatherking foam self adhesive foam tape and using that but I went with the OEM stuff instead.Oy. Glad I didn't need to replace it
Festoon causes me to think about Uncle Fester in the Adams Family. Wife has all the shows on DVD, love that series. Gomez, Fester, cousin Id and Morticia plus the kids.
When I was a youngster starting out in the electrical trade, "festoon" lighting was the old bare-bulbed lighting used in car lots at the time. I'm 71 and back then the only LED was Zeppelin

Maybe I am not fully understanding your project.
1) When do you want the new lights to be on?
If you want them on with the dome light when the door is open and off when the door is closed why would wiring it to the door switch not work? I guess it would depend on the power route.
2) I agree with trying an LED bulb in place of the OEM bulb. They can be a great improvement and be quick and easy.
I have a model without the door switch so I am not familiar with the wiring. That door switch could be n/c or n/o. Did you try it or check power?

I remember those lights at car lots, all strung from dangling wires, kind of like Christmas tree lots are today. I remember pay phone booths too...
