Hi,
I am considering buying a 2011-12 L3200 4wd hst with loader and bucket, a ?splitter for a snow plow that will allow for hydraulics to angle the snow plow. Seller is firm on 15k. The tractor has ~200 hours and looks brand new. Always stored inside. He is offering an almost new brush hog and back blade for another 2500. I've been looking around for old fords and JDs when this came up. Seems like a decent deal to me but I'm not that familiar with the market. I'd appreciate any opinions.
Thanks,
Michael

It's a good machine. The equivalent now is an L2501, because of emissions rules it's now 25 HP instead of 32, so the 3200 is a good buy. I'd say many people would pay almost as much as a brand new L2501 to get that machine, and 15K is a reasonable amount less than a brand new L2501.

Does it come with the snow plow, or just with the third function splitter? If it comes with the snow plow that's better still, and if the back blade and brush hog are good heavy duty ones then $2500 is also a good price (if you actually want a back blade and brush hog).

I wouldn’t sell mine for $15k. I would price check it to the L3301 too and not the 2501. The 2501 is no emission equipment like paul says but the power numbers are more inline with the 3301.

Michael,

I have a L3200 2011 HST with just under 200 hours, it’s a great machine, I think the price is about right if it’s in great condition. Confirm if it has had scheduled maintenance. Price on brush hog and back blade seems a little high. Good luck making a decision.

Michael - a good exercise is looking an L3200 up on:

Gives you an idea what someone is asking for certain models. Doesn't give sale price, but it's a good exercise anyway.

Good luck - - always heard good things about L3200 and similar tractors.

Sold mine a year ago. It has a nice DIY cab and several attachments. Here's an ad I posted on OTT, and I settled for $18,500 cash. There was another guy waiting in case the buyer backed out.

Actually an L3301 would be closer.
In terms of HP, yes. In terms of being the base model, no turbo, and having the 1.3L engine, that's now the L2501. They basically took the L3200 engine and detuned it to get under 26HP so that they didn't have to put emissions controls on it.

There are a few on tractorhouse.com between 13-17k. I would say the price seems in-line with other asking prices. 200 hours is basically a new tractor. Heck, if he changed the oil once all of the service is up to date.

Look for visible grease at all the grease points/joints. If someone takes the time to properly grease a tractor thats a good indicator they usually take pretty good care of it.
